Al-Beit Al-Iraqi

Al-Beit Al-Iraqi is a craft center located in an old traditional Iraqi House In East Gate Baghdad, Iraq.
The house was built in 1905 and owned by the father of the director of Al Beit Al Iraqi director.
It faced great events of Iraq, and was rented by the English Archeologist Seaton Loyd.
Agatha Christie lived in the House under the Name of Mr.s Melwin.
It was Seriously damaged during the Gulf War, and re constructed in 1991.
The house it self represents the real Iraqi Architecture in the Begining of the century, built entirely from bricks and wood....
Now vrious Cultural and Artisic events take place there, in addition to a shop for the best of Iraqi Crafts.
