Australian advertising disgrace- Recently, advertising began to rear its ugly head inside trains in Melbourne, a city in Australia. The advertisements are severely annoying because they are designed so that they are able to be seen slightly through peripheral vision. So if you are looking out a window, you're going to be constantly annoyed by a piece of advertising that contrasts maximally with the painting on the interior of the train. If anyone out there in australia is into graffiti, I am prepared to issue you a challange. Spray as many of those advertisements as you can. If you take a photo of your damage, I will post it up here, with your tag name so that your friends can recognize it.

The American Tragedy- The 11th of september saw a very brutal and cold hearted attack on the people of the USA. 2 planes, taken over by terrorists, were deliberately steered into each of the twin towers of the world trade centre in New York, and over 5000 people were believed to have been killed as a result. This is a sad situation, and I don't intend to mock it, but I thought it was funny that Microsoft delayed the release of the new version of Microsoft Flight Simulator purely so that they could remove the World Trade Centre from the New York section of the game. I know that they try to keep up to date, but this is just ridiculous.

The third place- Sony seems to be under the impression that a televsion commercial featuring their Playstation 2 product will only manage to be successful if it has a segment towards the end of the advertisment that features an old chick screaming "The third place". Does Sony seriously think that the use of this device will accomplish anything other then the isolation of the demographic groups it wishes to target ? I already know of one person who was so pissed off at one of the ads that he threw a brick at his television. Who here thinks that Sony should be held liable for the damage?
