"Krosnicki" supposedly is a surname from the village of Krosnice in Poland , but the village names do not appear on maps as they used to . "Sobina" is the other name I am researching . I am very impressed with the information available. I am confused however about the two provinces listed as Wroclaw and Walbrzych. My FRACHE and LORENZ ancestors came from the province of Wroclaw in 1867. My grandfather was born 4 March, 1876 in Gaablau,Kr. Landehut,Schlesien. The town is now named Jablow. They lived near Waldenburg. I didn't know there was a province of Walbrzych.

I am looking for any information on Josef Jendrzejak born 01 March 1976 in Slupica, Russian Poland. His last foreign residence was in Golina, Russian Poland. His wife's name was Mary Sopciak, born in Slupica, Russian Poland. They left Bremen, Germany on 16 April 1902 abroad the ship "Rhein" and arived in New York on 2 May, 1902. Looking for information on my Polish family tree. Recently found out that Karlowski was a name change for my Great Grandfather who was an intelligence officer in the Polish army with the name of Sarnowski. Valentine and Hedwig Karlowski and three children sought protection from Germany in the US at the t rn of the century (1900). They were given a new name and came in through Maryland and came immediately to Detroit, Michigan to start a farm in Romeo, Michigan. It is thought they originated from Pozen.

HELP...I am trying to find my father's origin. My father was born in eastern poland (under russian rule)in 1882, he served in the russian army for 4 years, and in 1908 he came to america at age 26. I understand that there are about 110 Marcewicz named people in Poland and about 19 here in America. Doing a genealogy study. I can find ancestors back to 1804 in London and think their parents might have come from Prussia. The family History Center shows several DIDEN in Prussia back to the 1600's. I would like to be able to connect to some of them. Thanks
