When I was a kid we had these Magic Movie Records. They were 78s which had pictures on a big label
which, when viewed in a rotating mirror set on top of the record, showed an animated
cartoon. I dug out the old records in my parents' attic, and discovered that I could
scan them into my computer and turn them into animated GIFs. Below are links to the
results of my efforts. We also made a lot of our own records; I will post more as time allows.
Click on a link below to view an animation. The GIFs are rather large (over 100k), so they will take a while to load. When loading is complete, the image will animate. For those which include RealAudio, click on the RealAudio button, and you will be able to hear the record (RealPlayer 3.0 or greater required).
