Computer Parts Donations

• I'm always looking for new stuff (well, old stuff too!!) to add to my collection, if you have something that you think you don't need anymore because it's old or broken don't hesitate in getting in touch with me.
  You can use the following form to send me information about the computer parts you might be willing to donate.

Donations

Are donations tax deductible ?

Since my collection is a private one and not a non-profit organization, donations are not tax deductible. But be realistic:

1. Even if it really was a non-profit, you would probably need to get it formally appraised.
2. Unfortunately no one does this. Existing appraisers simply don't know anything about old computers, yet.
3. Even if they did, your old computer probably isn't worth much. Its usability is probably "none". 
4. So it's not going to be much of a deduction and won't lower your taxes much.
