 Diagrams:
RJ45 Jack & Plug Diagram (Network cable) These diagrams were taken from Belkin, they suggest that you always have to build the cables following either one of the 2 available standards.
Acer COM port and PARALLEL port ribbon cable pinouts These pinouts were taken from an ACER 1125E 386DX25 motherboard. I assume that these pinouts are applicable to other Acer boards as well. If you are expecting to find a scholarly document that will inform you which pin is for transmit and which is receive then you will be disappointed. I hope, however that if you use these pinouts for an ACER motherboard, the com ports and parallel port will work. I use the term HEADER to refer to that plastic connector that plugs into the pins on the motherboard. If that term is wrong then, well you can feel smug in knowing the right word. If you think that I messed up anywhere in these diagrams you can let me know at; 4stories@usfamily.net or d_r_wright@hotmail.com Doug Wright
Midi Cable To connect your sound card with a Midi device (like a synthesizer)
Macintosh to PC Null Modem Cable Connects a Mac to a PC using the serial port.
