[A.I.] William Hurt Filmography


	Artificial Intelligence David is 11 years old. He weighs 60 pounds. He is 4 feet, 6 inches tall. He has brown hair. His love is real. But he is not.

We're in the year 2142 and the world isn't what it was in the last century any more. Because the ressources are small and so there aren't that many people any more, they built roboters, androids - the Artificial Intelligence, who work for the humans and make their lifes easier.
But the humans don't respekt the roboters; they feel as the better beings and make the androids know that.
Professor Hobby, played by William Hurt designs that Kid-Roboter, David (Haley Joel Osment), who shall act like a perfect kid: dream and love and never gets ill...
That seems to be the right child for Henry (Sam Robards, worker at Prof. Hobby's firm, and his wife Monica, played by Frances O'Conner. Their own son is frozen, because of an terrible illness and so they take the prototype David home.
Monica activates David to love her, but she isn't able to give that love back to the little roboter, even less when her real son comes home healthy again.
Now David starts a odyssee following his idol Pinoccio, who wanted to become a real boy like David does...
