The Name The origin of the Name “Since 84” reflects around the ‘Ancients’ (Greek) view of the universe. The Ancients believed in a theory that all the planets were attached to 84 transparent impenetrable crystalline spheres, and it was to be this sphere that kept all of these disparate bodies in orbit. The great 15th century scientist Tyco Brohe negated this view stating that these crystalline spheres did not exist therefor substantially expanding mans understanding of the solar system. The name Since 84 acknowledges this monumental historical event, plus just as brohe pushed mans understanding of the universe Since 84 pushes lyrical boundaries into an entirely new universe of musical comprehension…… Also the members of the band were born in the year 1984.
