on the road of red eyes(0)
words/music by THE BACK HORN

You don't need any answers-- that's a lie.
Everyone wants a reason for living.
With both hands thrust into my pockets,
the cigarette I hold in my mouth burns out in the cold weather.

Are you being buried by those
growing shadows speaking of despair? On days like this

Seize the wind, and rise up again.
The "coldness" of the full moon blooming on the water's surface
The voice that screamed out "I'm here"
melted away and disappeared into the night sky.

The road of impotence that looked like it understood
There was a mass of discomforting feelings that "something's wrong."

This existence called "me"
is pushing away the air of this town again, glittering and standing up.

Go through that ring I drew by myself,
and consume even the world.
Only that palely burning passion
will light the way.

Despair  solitude  moonlight
You don't have the courage to go to your death,
so there's nothing to do but live, isn't there?
Hold your breath and run through.

Seize the wind, and rise up again.
The "coldness" of the full moon blooming on the water's surface
The voice that screamed out "I'm here"
melted away into the night sky

Go through that ring I drew by myself,
and consume even the world.
Only that palely burning passion
will light the way.

(0)I'm not sure what this title means. Are the singer's eyes red because they're bloodshot, or because he's crying, or what? Or is he an albino? Is it because he just got punched in the face? (The cover for this album has a guy holding a steak up to his eye.)
Notes: I like this song. Typical THE BACK HORN lyrics about finding the will to live on, but it's a nice song. My favorite part of the song is the "This existence called me" line.
