nameless night ~a night without even a name~
lyrics: Gara  music: Nero

The length of a day is fair for everyone, so there isn't any time to stand still.(1)
In these days that just repeat themselves, if you're tired, come here, because there aren't any nights that don't dawn.

Let's just open our eyes a little and walk, spread our wings, and become butterflies; and then, if the wind is blowing, we'll take off.
This shapeless today is happening for the sake of tomorrow; that gives the repetitions that don't end some meaning.

nameless night  unable to sleep  I cried out until the imitation of my voice withered away.
nameless night  unable to sleep  Go against the flow of the times... nameless night

Up until now, I had tried to turn away and not look at unpleasant things; if I could just forget everything completely...
Why can't we just live honestly, without regard for others?(2) Even though I try to chase it down, I probably won't be able to catch up...(3)
There are lots of trying days, painful days, and sad days.
But even so, now you're not alone, so let's each share half of the pain.(4)

nameless night  unable to sleep  I cried out until the imitation of my voice withered away.
nameless night  unable to sleep  Go against the flow of the times... nameless night

The scenery spreading out before my eyes A flower garden of truth without lies
The flowers spreading out over this entire surface are swaying with brilliant colors...

If you open the window and look up, lots of big clouds have come out in the sky, flowing to the east.
Let's now value and live out this today that won't happen twice, for the sake of the tomorrow that will come again...

(1) I think that the singer of this song feels hampered by the short amount of time in a day. This also makes the "there aren't any nights that don't dawn" line make sense. Every night must dawn and give way to a new day, dragging the singer and his companion along with it whether they want to keep going in time or not.
(2) I might have totally screwed the meaning of this line up. If I got the meaning right, I think that this line means something like "why can't we just ignore everything else and live honestly by ourselves?"
(3) It's not clear what the singer is trying to chase down. I personally think that he's trying to run after the days that have already passed, since he feels like they've been happening too fast and therefore are all the same.
(4) I think Gara means that the two people will each share half of the pain of these days.
Notes: The singer in this song is trying to value each individual day along with someone else, since it's too short and all the days feel the same to him anyway. (Possibly because they pass by too fast.) He's trying to go against time, to ignore everything else and just live in the present. Also, I like how the tempo of this song speeds up and slows down, in accordance with the song's theme of time passing by. In particular, it slows down for the last block of text ("If you open the window..."), which considering what the block of text is about is pretty cool.
I am also going to take this space to say that this is my favorite song from this album.
