goodbye rain (rain)
lyrics:Gara music:Yuu
There are innumerable tears that I acted tough about and endured. If I could just cry everything out, I'd be at ease, but my tears girl
Today, the weather forecast outside looks like rain; I can't hold any umbrellas up for my heart...(1)
I stuff in my memories that were never small in my chest that was never big...(2)
Turn your back on sadness, so that you can't turn around...
There are still footprints of that goodbye left in my heart...
Wave goodbye to sadness, so that you can't turn around...
In the night that I passed alone, the sorrowful rain cried along with me...
I knew that just being alone was lonely. I long for someone who can huddle together with me...
Today, the weather forecast outside is rain again. I long hopelessly for someone who can take shelter from the rain...
The telephone that rang suddenly startled me, and I decreased the "incoming" sound to silent...(3)
I denied my own feelings; already I can't return...
Turn your back on sadness, so that you can't turn around...
There are still footprints of that goodbye left in my heart...
Wave goodbye to sadness, so that you can't turn around...
In the night that I passed alone, the sorrowful rain...
Turn your back on sadness, so that you can't turn around...
There are still footprints of that goodbye left in my heart...
Wave goodbye to sadness, so that you can't turn around...
Because in these nights that I pass alone, the sorrowful rain cries along with me...
(1)He can't hold any umbrellas up to protect him from the rain, presumably. SO CHEESY.
(2)As far as I can figure out, "keshite" means the same thing as "kesshite," which means "never."
(3)This is a really bad translation. I'm so sorry. "Chakushinon" = literally "incoming sound," as in a phone ring, but I couldn't think of a better way to translate. That "chaku" means "arriving," so "chakumero" = "arriving melody" = "ringtone."
Notes: Uhh. This is one of Merry's cheesier songs. But apparently it's really popular.
