OVERALL OPINION Not an episode with huge SJ Shippy moments, but the interaction between the two is nice nonetheless--shows us the friendship and rapport these two have in their working relationship. Plus, the scene in the death glider's orbiting earth is sweet as.

1) Nothing Comes To Mind: Episode starts with a conversation mainly between Sam and Jack as they discuss the C4 and plans to explode the ship. Just as Jack's about to give the order to blow them all up, they realise that Apophis' ship has arrived and destroying Klorel's ship won't stop Apophis. Quickly, they discuss alternative options but none are forthcoming. Nice interaction for the friendship angle.

2) Can't See: SG1 are waking in a prison cell--blinded. Jack starts to move and accidentally 'hits' Sam in the face with his hand. She responds by biting him--hard. He cries out, she quickly realises who her 'attacker' is and stops. She apologises, he accepts it, and then 'compliments' her.

Sam: Sorry Sir, it's just so dark.
Jack: Carter! (Pause.) It's ok. (Pause.) I like your attitude.

A few moments later, as their sight returns, Jack instructs Sam that if anyone comes inside... for her to 'bite them in the hand'. Sam is amused by his order and chuckles, agreeing.

3) Human: As Bra'tac hits Jack upon his entrance to the prison cell, Sam watches Jack from a distance, obviously concerned.

4) Not Coming: After Daniel is hurt and Jack reveals that Daniel won't be coming with them to Apophis' ship, Sam and Jack share a tortured look.

5) Orbiting Earth: Sam and Teal'c in one death glider, Jack and Bra'tac in another. Klorel and Apophis' ships have been destroyed, the world has been saved, but Daniel is 'dead' and their gliders have been destroyed. Sam quickly contacts Jack to make sure he's alright and as she tries to tell them their still doomed (they can't make it back to Earth), he tells her to look up.

Sam: Colonel? Come in?
Jack: We're ok Captain.
Sam: Same here Sir but I don't think we bought ourselves much time. Our glider's had it.
Teal'c: I concur.
Sam: We got cooked pretty bad in the explosion.
Jack: Captain...
Sam: We're low on power and in a fairly low orbit so I don't think it'll be too much longer before we burn up in Earth's atmosphere.
Jack: Captain... (Pause.) Take a look up.
Sam: It's beautiful.
Jack: Yes it is.
Sam: We saved it Sir.
Jack: Yes we did.

A few moments (aka, another scene) later, they continue their conversation.

Sam: It's going to be a beautiful sunset Sir.
Jack: You know Captain... this wasn't such a bad day after all.
Sam: Not bad at all.

6) Space Monkey: As Jack, Sam, Teal'c and Bra'tac return to the SGC, they are applauded for their efforts. Bra'tac says goodbye and SG1 are reunited with Daniel. Jack and Daniel embrace, and then Sam and Daniel. As the camera pulls out, we notice all four standing around, Sam and Jack next to each other.
