OVERALL OPINION Overall, a 'Daniel' episode with very little interaction between Sam and Jack. You really have to look very hard for S/J moments in this one, guys! Something else worth mentioning : Jack's comment when Daniel has gone to pieces and attacked him - "Oh God, look at you. I know what this is. I know what this is like." This is never explained and it could be speculated that Jack has had addiction problems in the past. Perhaps one day we'll find out... [g]

1) Watching: Whilst hiding out in some woodland SG1 are watching activity around the Stargate. As the Gate activates, Sam and Jack raise their heads to get a better look, perfectly in sync with each other. Perhaps they'll start finishing each other's sentences next?

2) Shyla Wants To Jump: When Shyla is standing on the edge of the cliff, Jack whispers, "She's going to jump." Sam shoots him a puzzled look, apparently wondering how he knows what Shyla is about to do.

3) In The Palace: Jack is knocked to the floor by one of the guards after he refuses to kneel. Sam looks over at him, a worried frown on her face that has more than a suggestion of "why doesn't he keep his big mouth shut?" Pyrus, Shyla's father, grabs Sam's chin roughly, watched very carefully by Jack who obviously isn't happy. He starts talking to Pyrus in an attempt to distract his attention from Sam but is careful not to antagonise him further.

4) Hi Ho, Hi Ho: Sam tells Jack that Pyrus isn't a Goa'uld. He asks her why she thinks this and she explains by saying that the first clue was the lack of a Goa'uld voice. Jack agrees with this point. Sam then says that lately she's been getting a 'weird feeling' around Teal'c but couldn't sense anything when Pyrus grabbed her. Despite not being able to resist making a joke, Jack appears to believe her quite readily even though this is the first time this 'talent' has been mentioned. He obviously trusts her judgement.

5) Escape: As they run for the cave opening Jack places his hand on Sam's back, guiding her to safety. When Daniel is caught under a rockfall they abort their escape. Jack then orders Sam and Teal'c to go. Sam questions this, reluctant to leave Jack and Daniel but ultimately follows orders and turns to leave. Unfortunately more guards arrive and they are trapped.

6) Back In The Mine: Sam, Jack and Teal'c are working in the mine. We appear to have joined them at the end of a conversation between Sam and Jack about Daniel. They sound tired and snappy with each other, not afraid to say what they think.

7) You Get Dinner?: When Daniel tells Sam, Jack and Teal'c that Shyla believes he's her destiny because he saved her life Sam and Jack share an amused look. You have to wonder why - they seem to be sharing a private joke (about being each other's destiny? [g]).

8) Jolinar's Memories: When Sam exclaims, "We don't use the sarcophagus!" Jack queries her. She explains her vision. "We have to stop Daniel!" As the next scene shows Jack trying to do just that we have to assume that yet again Jack took Sam at her word, no matter how weird it sounded.
