OVERALL OPINION Not exactly the shippiest of all episodes, but it does have it's moments. The scene in Carter's infirmary room is probably the cutest; Jack scoping out the vast expanse of her bare skin. The hold in the hallway started off innocent enough, but you could tell the closeness was getting to the both of them.

NOTABLE SCENES

1) Escape 101: Jack pinches the sedative tube that is running into his chest, giving him enough strength to attack an orderly. After knocking him out and taking his clothes, he goes on the search for answers, and suddenly the SGC turns into something that looks quite a bit like a Goa'uld palace. He comes across the room where they're keeping Carter, and makes quick work of the orderly checking the equipment by hitting him over the head with a metal canister. He approaches her bed, whispering her name loudly. Jack's eyes search over her chest, following the lines attached to her body at the collarbone. Quickly he pulls them free and starts to jostle her shoulder. Coming to, it takes Sam's eyes a few moments to adjust before she sees Jack standing next to her, calling her name. Immediately her arm threads through his and touches the back of his bicep with her hand. She's in complete shock to see him, stating that she though he was dead.

2) Memory 101: The memory amplifier activates as she remembers another time she thought Jack was a goner. Teal'c and O'Neill are carrying the alien orb from Message In A Bottle towards the Stargate, getting ready to ship it back through. Three spikes anchor themselves into the concrete surfaces before piercing Jack shoulders to pin him to the wall. Sam runs across the embarkation room to him and immediately checks out his injuries, the worry very evident in her eyes.

3) Escape 201: Jack plucks the line leading to the holographic projection device from her temple and tells her not to think too much because the devices have a tendency to go off when least expected. He tells her that the "doctors" are all Goa'uld and he's not sure about what happened to Daniel and Teal'c. He asks her if she can walk and she slowly sits up, clutching the sheet to her chest. Jack has a perfect view of her shoulder and bare back from where he's leaning. As Sam is telling him about the sedatives limiting her ability to detect Naquada in the Goa'uld's bloodstream, Jack takes the opportunity to check her out. He can't help himself as his eyes travel up and down her bare arm and chest. Only when she looks over at him does he look up and suggests that she switches clothes with the unconscious orderly.

4) Holding Tight: As they're checking out the joint, looking for the other members of SG-1 and a way out, Sam mentions that the place looks a lot like Apophis' ship, setting off the memory device. She clutches her temple in pain and quickly Jack steps over to her, closing a hand over her mouth as he pulls her to safety behind a dividing wall. Two Jaffas escorting Doctor Raleigh and General Trotsky round the corner. Jack pulls Sam to him tighter, his left arm encircling her waist as her back presses to his chest. The Goa'ulds enter another doorway, and Jack's face brushes against her hair as he turns to look. Slowly he releases her mouth; his hand just resting inches above her throat. Sam's aggravated, wanting to know if they can take the implants out. They both decide that it would be too risky, not knowing how deep they are or how much damage it would do to their brains. Jack's right hand is resting against her shoulder now, his left presumably still around her waist, holding her against him. Sam's head is turned to the side and she is constantly looking at him. She seems almost slightly panicked that he's that close behind her and at one point, she closes her eyes tightly as his nose brushes through her hair to look at the doorway the Goa'uld had just passed through. On more than a few occasions, Jack studies her, his mouth open and very close to her ear as she tries to catch her breath. Almost reluctantly he lets Sam go as she starts to lean away from him to look down the corridor. Quickly he follows her.

5) Introducing Hathor: After making it to the fake embarkation room, Daniel, Sam, and Jack take a look around, slightly amazed at the amount of trouble somebody went to recreating everything. As they're trying to decide who had spent enough time on the base to know the layout, Hathor appears on the ramp. As if not even seeing Sam or Jack, she proceeds down the ramp to Daniel, telling him that she has missed her beloved. Sam quickly reminds him not to let her breathe on him. Hathor reminds her that they wouldn't have gone to so much trouble if that trick still worked, and Sam turns to look at Jack who shrugs innocently, not quite sure what to make of it. Hathor's army of Jaffa, General Trotsky, and Doctor Raleigh has entered the room, armed with Zat'nik'atel, and surround the team. Hathor offers SG-1 a life of luxury if they divulge some important information like the coordinates to the Asgaard homeworld and the code to the G.D.O. As she's interrogating Jack, Sam is standing beside him, her eyes narrowed in a leer at Hathor. When the Goa'uld finally moves on to Sam, sliding the G.D.O. under her throat in a threatening manner, Jack looks on amazed and quite pleased that she didn't give up any information. He smiles at her then gives Hathor an "I told you" look.
