OVERALL OPINION A bit of shippiness to this episode, but this is a Daniel-centric one, so it's understandable why there isn't a lot. Some nice moments, but this episode doesn't rate high on my shippy scale.

NOTABLE SCENES

1) I'm Not Going To Enjoy This, Am I: As Jack sits down in his chair next to Sam's for the meeting about Daniel with Dr. MacKenzie, he leans on Sam's chair. Makes you wonder why since his chair has arm rests as well that he could lean on. During the same scene, it is revealed that 'gate travel is somewhat hazardous to the health of the SGC members. Jack then suggests they put a sign at the bottom of the ramp to inform people of this rather than shutting down the program, and Sam immediately supports this idea. When Janet tells them that if Daniel gets worse, they'll have to institutionalize him, Sam looks to Jack, as if he could do something.

2) Loony Bin: Daniel has been committed since he has gotten worse. It's very obvious that seeing him like this hurts Sam a lot. When they don't seem to be able to get through to Daniel, Jack asks her to be the one to get the guards, as if to take her mind momentarily off of Daniel. When they get back to the base, they start to talk about Daniel. If Teal'c hadn't fallen ill right then, there could have been quite a nice comfort scene as they talked.

3) Cured: Daniel is back on base, seemingly cured not long before Teal'c became ill. The whole of SG1, including Janet, is in the infirmary, trying to figure out what could have happened. Jack and Sam are sitting beside each other on one of the cots, Jack sitting on his hands (doesn't want to risk touching her? [g]). The whole time they're discussing the problem, he watches and listens to her.

4) Treatment: Jack and Janet have the little Goa'uld killing devices in them still and Sam has to treat them with her blood since she's immune. When she goes to Jack and tells him what she's going to do, he teases her. He's sick and he's still joking with her!

5) Healed: Teal'c has just been injected with Sam's blood, and the device leaves his system. Jack is standing behind Sam during this whole scene, and at the end he looks at her.
