1. Does it worry anyone else that the Mirror has been up at Area 51 with Maybourne? Maybe he could actually find a universe where he's a good guy. On the other hand, some possibilities are too extreme even for alternate universes.

2. It's nice that Samantha never considered that there might be one universe where Jack isn't dead. I guess science and optimism just don't mix on her world.

3. So Jack is more stunned by Samantha's hair than Kawalsky's return from the dead? He'd probably have a heart attack if Sam ever died her hair.

4. If we're judging by who says "for crying out loud", then maybe I'm married to Jack too. I wonder if the alternate Jack said "Holy Hannah".

5. Yes, Jack, Samantha is Carter squared. Is this giving you a headache yet? Or are you still stuck on the hair. I swear alternate universes are almost harder on the brain than those pesky temporal paradoxes.

6. Okay, so "apparently" is just Danny's default line for this episode, isn't it. Can't remember what he's supposed to say, just fall back on "apparently". Maybe he's just jealous of the apparent spread of Jack's catchphrase.

7. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Jack: "You just agreed with yourself."
Sam: "Well, it's better than fighting with myself the way my dad does."
Jack: "You Carters just can't do schizophrenia the old fashioned way, can you?"

8. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Jack: "So it's possible there's an alternate version of myself out there that actually understands what the hell you're talking about."
Sam: "Some things are beyond even the realm of theoretical possibility...um, Sir."
Danny: "You've been spending too much time with him."
Sam: "I'm not the one who said 'for crying out loud'."
Danny: "Yet."

9. Jack's thoughts while Sam and Samantha discussed their hair: "Ooh, threesome."

10. Sorry to break it to you, Sam, but I think it's probably more Danny and Teal'c's presence than your short hair and uniform that helped defeat Apophis.

11. Which begs the question, did Samantha have Jolinar in her world? And no Jolinar equals no Martouf. Goa'uld invasion aside, her universe is sounding better and better.

12. A tip for Jack garnered from much watching of Treks and Buffy: evil twins usually wear a lot more leather. Although that's probably not a place we want Jack's mind to go; we'd never get him back.

13. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Jack: "But then we'd be dealing with cliches, and you know how I feel about those. No, actually *you* know how I feel about those."
Sam: "Yes, because we've had all those long conversations about your cliche issues."

14. Bet those inadequacy issues got reversed once Sam learned Samantha was an O'Neill.

15. Damn. A mini tree, nice comforter, pillow sham, and artwork over the bed? How did they get an interior decorator down into a top secret military base?

16. "Some lines aren't meant to be crossed." General, if that's supposed to be a message to Jack, I think you're gonna have to be a little more overt.

17. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Jack: "I take it where you're from we were..."
Samantha: "Married."
Jack: "For crying out loud, is this some sort of cosmic joke? Is there any other universe where we aren't together? Why the hell did I get stuck in the one universe where I can't be with her?"

18. On the "twin thing", bet Sam started kicking herself for blowing off that offer about the time Kawalsky let slip about Samantha and AU Jack.

19. It's nice that after Sam turned away Jack reminded himself that she's a Major. He probably had to do that a lot this episode.

20. I'm still struck by the bizarreness of Sam holding Samantha's hand in that hospital bed. It's not often someone has to comfort herself--unless it involves large doses of chocolate.

21. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Samantha: "They're just the little green men we're looking for."
Jack: "Grey. The Asgard skin color is actually grey. Do you have any idea how much liver and onions go for on...wait, wrong show."

22. So Jack had Daniel shut down the mirror, knowing the trouble it would take to find their world again, because he saw Sam on the other side? No, he's not protective of her at all.

23. So was Teal'c killing his double technically murder or suicide? Here comes that headache again.

24. "Kree" means "Yoo-hoo"? Oh, that just gives the Goa'uld a nice air of dignity, doesn't it.

25. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Kawalsky: "You two look pretty good together, let me tell you."
Jack: "During your special ops training on this world, did they cover silence?"
Kawalsky: "Oh, did I strike a nerve?"
Jack: "Now I remember why the writers killed you so early."
Kawalsky: "Why's that?"
Jack: "On our world, the punishment for being a shipper is death."

26. So if there's a Captain Carter waiting for Danny and co. in another reality, does that mean this same episode was being played out there too? This is why I avoid alternate realities and temporal paradoxes, I can't afford that much aspirin.

27. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Apophis: "Teal'c, why do you betray me?"
Teal'c: "Because neither one of us looks good with facial hair. I have joined the fashion police and must now punish you for your poor sense of style."

28. Danny seems to be getting better at explaining these alternate realities. A few more times and he'll understand them as well as Sam. He still won't be able to get anyone to believe him, but at least he'll be more coherent in explaining them.

29. Come on, the Asgard save the day and we don't even get to see Thor? What a rip off. Maybe Sam can talk the little cutie into resurrecting her Jack. We already know Thor will like him if he gets a chance.

30. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Jack: "How could you marry such a loser?"
Samantha: "I think you better ask your Sam that question. Maybe she can explain it to you."
Jack: "Come on, just one hint."
Samantha: "That confused expression you get *is* rather cute. Yeah, that one."

31. Hammond seems fairly nonplussed during that kiss. Guess he's not as blind as Sam and Jack think, or wish, he was.

32. REJECTED DIALOGUE:
Samantha: "You're really not him, are you?"
Jack: "No."
Samantha: "I just wish..."
Jack: "Me too."
Samantha: "Tell her. For me and my Jack."
Jack: "I never could resist helping that guy."

33. I wonder who was more jealous at the end there: Sam, because Samantha got to kiss Jack; or Samantha, because Sam gets to keep him. Or maybe the audience, for not getting a piece of the action.
