OVERALL OPINION
This episode wasn't that shippy, though it had some S/J friendship parts in it. You need episodes like this for Sam and Jack becuase there are a lot of scenes in this episode when Jack needs Sam as his Second in Command, his Major. This episode shows their friendship as Colonel and Major and as good friends.
NOTABLE SCENES
1) The UAV Scene: Ok, once again the UAV crashed and SG-1 was sent after it. Jack obviously wasn't too happy. Carter, of course, was all "science happy" Jack teased Sam a bit which is always funny , but Carter was all analytical. pretty funny.
2) Walking: When they're walking around Captain Nelson's camp Jack and Sam are next to each other both times. (Insert shippy projections here).
3) Colonel O'Neill's Idea: That was a great scene when Jack got the idea to use the image of a dying Apophis to convince Rogers's people that he was dead. The looks Jack got after Sam said it was Jack's idea were great. It was very cute how she tried to give Jack the credit for the idea. :)
Sam: Teal'c, is the vo'cume capable of recording other images?
Teal'c: Yes, that is correct.
Jack: Well, then, Colonel O'Neill's already thought of the solution.
(Kyle, Daniel, and Gen.Hammond all shocked, look at Jack who looks completely oblivious to what Sam just said.)
Sam: I think you know where I'm going with this, Sir.
Jack: Haven't a clue.
Sam: Well, seeing Apophis die was enough to convince Kyle. All we have to do is show that same image to everyone else.
General Hammond: With the vocume device?
Sam: Yes.
Teal'c: I believe O'Neill's solution can be successful.
4) Dammit Carter: At the end of the episode, when SG-1 minus Carter plus Rogers was waiting for Sam to transfer the image of Apophis dying into the vo'cume was great. Jack was *a bit* nervous because they were being pelted with bullets and grenades. Sam of course was being her astrophysicist self and was focused on what she was doing and pretty oblivious to everything else. When a bomb hit near Jack and them he screamed "Damn it Carter!". It was pretty funny. And then, of course, once Sam finished fixing the vo'cume Jack was like "Got it!" and was all happy.
