this interview took place behind the Excite vert ramp in bristol city center.....
rob: im rob parker, im 18, i live intaunton which most people wont have heard of as its a lil place in the middle of somerset!!!
matt: and how long have you been skating?
rob: about 6 years
matt: and what do you enjoy skating the most?
rob: mainly my rollerblades, but some times my skateboard!!
matt: NO! i mean what terrain!!!
rob: well, no doubt vert's the most fun for me, but i still skate aload of street as the closest vert is 50 mils away!
matt: that must be an arse!! there's one just down the road from me, well 2 if you count bath!!
rob: beotch!! but now all i do is skate so it rules!!!!!
matt: who are you're inspiriations on vert?
rob: well lots of people, i respect anyone who can skate vert well as it takes along time to learn. Cesar mora because he goes soo big, he doesnt mess about with small stuff or many lip tricks!!! blake dennis is the best street skater (and acording to cesar not too bad on vert either) but i guess i motivate myself pretty well and i love to skate sooo much
matt: thats actually true, he actually goes down the park and skates by himself sometimes, because he has no friends!!!
rob: (sarcastic laugh)
matt: its true!!!
rob: its not!!! hahaha
matt: only joking, ure loverly!!
matt: is there a special lady in ure life?
rob: well that changes each demo!! hahaha
matt: sounds about right!
matt: so what tricks you working on?
rob: well i always learn something little and try and go as big as i can all the time, but there is a new trick im trying to learn at the moment, and its pretty nuts, but i dont wanna say what it is!!! but my favourite thing is just blasting huge airs and doing tricks as high as i can
matt: you're crazy!! what skates do you have?
rob: well, they started off life as access, now they have an estilo skin, white midsouls and cozmo fly wheels with ceramic bearings. cozmo are actually the best, even if you are a street skater
matt: have you got any advice for anyone who wants to get into vert?
rob: just skate it, there is alot of shit in this country about what you should skate. it seems soo many people just want to look cool when they skate and follow everyone else. if you want to skate vert then skate it. who's cares what anyone else think, if you having fun thats all that counts!
matt: shout outs?
rob: yea, to matt, alex, jo, mike, rich, all the guys down at the park, all the boarders and BMXers i skate with, cesar for helping me out loads and all my other friends
