Books on Rape
I never called it Rape; Robin Warshaw-
I really liked this book.  It is about aquaintence rape and focuses on a study done by Mary P. Koss for Ms. Magizine.  It gave some great suggestions for dealing with rape and had personal stories that helped me feel less alone.

After Silence; Nancy Raine
This was the first book I read after my rape.  I found it to be exactly what I needed and infact highlighted most of the book.  Raine tells the story of her rape and how she kept silent for many years following.  I appreciated this book becaue it made me feel less alone in what I was going through.  Like someone truely understood.

Lucky; Alice Sebold
This was told as it was a fictional story even though it was not.  I cried through a few parts, and it taught me a lot about how to interact with people after being raped.  I finished it in one sitting!

Trauma and Recovery; Judith Herman
This is more technical than the other books I mentioned, but still taught a lot about post traumatic stress disorder.  It does not just talk about rape, but also prisoners of war and war vetrans.  It provides a very good psychological profile of what is going on.
