Rudimentary scouting
Type:
As each fighter type has its individual strengths/weaknesses and preferred tactics, to effectively fight plan you must first identify the fighter type you will be planning against. This scouting will allow you to make the best use of your strengths and his weaknesses in your fight plans. No one plan is the best choice verses all opponents.
Although these are subject to change due to differring fighter builds and manager preferences each fighter type has some generally assumed styles, tactics, and builds due to the limited amount of aps and heights needed to reach the proper weight of each class.

I designed the flowchart below to give you a rough idea of what to look for when you are scouting. this will not give you the exact build or stats of your opponent but it should give you a fairly accurate idea of the fighter type you are facing. print it off and look at it as you need or better yet look at it and go back over your own fights until you are comfortable looking at fight reports, heights, and styles to give you a general idea of what you are facing.
Start with looking at your opp height compared to the height base given if they are shorter go to the left if they are taller go to the right.
