The year 2004 will be remembered by Jaguars as a season of turmoil as after ex-coach Moey Yoke Ham quitting the club after 1 game now Senegalese striker Nicodeme Boucher will also be leaving due to a knee injury problem.

Nico Boucher had sustained the injury in the S-League match against Home United FC on 9 March & despite seeking intensive treatments, he had been unable to shake off the injury.

After coming on as a substitute in the last match against SinChi, the swelling on his knee worsens. So acting on doctor advise, Nico Boucher decided terminate his contract to rest his knee.

Jaguars Chairman Mr. Matthew Kang regrets the loss of the talented striker. At the same time, he appreciate the Senegalese for being open & honest about his condition.

Nico Boucher, who rejoined the Jaguars along with Benoit Salviat, Jean Audemar & Gimmy Bade this season, say it was in the best interests of the club & him that he had to take this unfortunate decision. He know the club need a fit player upfront so it is only fair for the club to look for another suitable replacement when the window transfer opens.

As a result of his injury, he had not being able to play in matches & up to now he has only make 3 appearances in 8 matches. The 37-year-old striker had won the League Cup & FA Cup during his first spell with Tanjong Pagar in 1998.
