While fellow AFC Cup & S-league club Home United traveled to Thailand for their pre-season training tour, Geylang United will be embarking on a Malaysian pre-season training tour.

It will be from January 28 - February 4 & Geylang United will play 4 Malaysian teams during the tour.

Before that, they will have their 1^st test of Malaysian opposition with them playing Sabah on January 24 at the Bedok Stadium at 5.30 pm.

It will be a great workout for Geylang United as they have a Malaysian opposition Negri Sembilan in their group. East Bengal (India) & Island FC (Maldives) make up the other 2 teams in the group.
