There are speculation that Australian striker Brendon Santalab is heading back to Bedok to rejoin the Eagles

Santalab starred for Geylang with 23 goals after arriving on loan from Sydney United in the mid-season window last season & rumours have been rife that O'Donell would turn to the 21-year-old striker again after releasing midfielder Milan Blagojevic.

It would certainly help the Eagles in the striking department as the Eagles 2 main striker Australian Aleksandar Duric & Chinese Chang Hui had been disappointing thus far with only 9 goals between them.

Certainly last season when Aleksandar Duric was operating as a lone striker, he was also finding it hard to get goals until the arrival of Brendon Santalab lifted pressure off him. The 34 year old striker exploded in the second half of the season as his striking partnership with Brendon Santalab blossom to finish with 34 goals behind S-league top scorer Peres De Oliveria.

This could have struck in the mind of Eagles Scott O'Donell & with his connection with Australian football scene he could try out that striking partnership again to lift the Eagles.
