Moving quickly to scotch any speculation that Australian striker Brendon Santalab is heading back to Bedok to rejoin the Eagles. The Eagles coach Scott O'Donell revealed Brendon Santalab will be going for trials in Croatia soon.

However in another light, Thai international Therdsak Chaiman is a possible target for the Eagles as the former SAFFC man has made contact with the club & Scott O'Donell confirmed it.

Therdsak, who was the S-League Player of the Year in 2002, is a real prospect for Geylang United as he is unhappy at Vietnamese club Eastern Asia Bank. Unlike his S-League stint with SAFFC, the Thai has struggled to settle in Vietnam & has made few friends there.

The dynamic midfielder earns a reported $8,000 a month in the V-League but has said that he prefers life in Singapore, where he spent a memorable year.

O'Donell said Therdsak has made contact with them through a third party & if available the Eagles would be interested in talking to him.
