Seventh-placed Geylang United announced that they would release defender Daniel Hill and former Sinchi striker Chang Hui when the transfer window opens on June 14.

This follows the club's release of ex-Australian international Milan Blagojevic. The midfielder had played in only 2 games before a serious knee injury which he did not recover from.

In a statement, the Eagles said that Chang has struggled to recapture his form of last season. Hill, they added, will be released as he has to resolve some personal problems in Australia.

Chnag Hui who was Sinchi top scorer last year with 24 goals has not hit the same height scoring only 3 goals for the Eagles & putting in many disappointing performances that have even lead Scott O'Donell to drop him to the bench.

However Eagles coach Scott O'Donell want everybody to know they are not the scapegoats for the poor performances. The responsibility for that lies with every member of the team & coaching staffs.

Also another reason for releasing them is the wish to strengthen the club for the AFC Cup quarter-finals in September.

He added that two players, 25-year-old defender Mark Williams and 30-year-old midfielder Wayne O'Sullivan, are on trial and likely to be offered contracts if they pass a fitness test.

Therefore striker Aleksandar Duric is the only foreigner on the club book at the moment.
