Assistant referee K Visvanathan who was officiating on the said of the field where the alleged abuse incident happened have backed the version of Home United coach Steve Darby.

He claimed that he did not hear any abusive language coming from the Englishman.

In Assistant referee K Visvanathan own words –All I hear from Darby was ‘That was a cowardly challenge’

K Visvanathan then alert referee Subash Lazar on the matter.

Referee Subash then went over to talk with the Protectors coach.

Subash said he went to calm down Daby & told him that as a coach it is best he should not be saying things to oppositions players that could antagonize them especially in a tense & heated match like the Final

Darby understood the message & gave Referee Subash the thumb up so the game carried on.
