A Gift to Our Selves
First
post to the Provida Support Community:
I just
ordered my Smart Technique CDs last night and as you can see, I'm
posting here, literally, out of the blue.
Out
of the blue.
That is
precisely how this program drifted into my awareness. Two days ago, I
was luxuriating in bed in that limbo between sleep and wakefulness,
gauzily gazing out the window to admire the blueness of the Saturday
morning sky.
Not much
of a TV watcher -- and especially not on a Saturday morning when the
programming's either cartoons or sportscasts ... and not much else, I am
still in wonderment as to what motivated me to rudely interrupt my sweet
reverie by clicking on the TV.
I
literally groaned when I saw what was on the TV. Not a cartoon. Not a
sportscast. What was on was exactly: "...and not much else."
An infomercial.
But the
congeniality of the two ladies who referred to themselves as The Mommies
warmed me. I'd never heard of them (I
am a Mommy of dog-kids), but their patter was lighthearted,
animated and entertaining. They had a humdinger of a weight loss story
to tell.

And
their before and after photos were dramatic and yes,
emotionally riveting.

Grabbing
a pen, I sat bolt upright in bed and on the back of an envelope,
furiously wrote down: Smart Technique weight loss. A healthy skeptic, I
then got online and googled the scribbled information.
Eventually,
I found my way here and was happy to "hear" your real life
experiences with the program. Thanks to your posts, I was inspired to go
ahead and order my kit.
I think
of myself as a positive thinker. Now, there is no doubt that I am a born
optimist. I'm doing this in the middle of the holiday season?! Well, I
may as well go full tilt and begin my journal -- online for all to see
and help keep me accountable -- as a success story. A done
deal.
And you
know, I believe that my story, like yours, has all the earmarks of a
success story. That I/we am/are finally doing something to consciously
break my/our yo-yo pattern is a success in itself.
Cognizant
of how powerful the subconscious is, I am so pleased to learn that there
is this technology available. The prospect of cajoling Pili (my name for
my subconscious) into healthier habits is exciting.
I look
forward to many chapters of success stories.

Positively
yours,
Out of the blue (ootb)
