From
the Makeover Specialist:
It
is very important that you eat prior to working out for 2 basic
reasons:
1. Your body needs the food to supply energy for your
workout. You are at greater risk of injuring yourself and having
to quit early due to lack of energy.
2. If you do not eat prior to working out, your body will burn
muscle to sustain you during your workout. You want to build and
tone muscle, not burn muscle.
3. Morning workout: Eating when you first wake up
wakes up your metabolism and gets it functioning efficiently
throughout the day.
4. Do not remove any food from the pre-workout meal. Add
carb/fruit. If you are working out twice in one day (i.e. cardio
in morning and bands in evening) you must adjust both pre-workout
meals accordingly.
5.
After dinner work-out: eat your PM mini-meal (snack).
