Live your life as if
running throuqh a forest.
Breakneak speed,
no chance to rest.
Thorns and brambles,
scratch and tear;
leaving scars of experience,
that we all wear.
Jump and duck,
avoiding branches all about,
that will trip or bruise you,
if they catch you out;
or a stray bough you don't see,
'til it's in your face,
that could knock you down cold,
and take you out of the race.
Animals hide
in the shadows, teeth bared.
They will rip you to shreds,
if they smell that you're scared.
and all you know,
is that you gotta reach the goal;
but you don't want the race to finish
because then you'll fall.
So just keep running,
while your body wears down,
until you reach the other side
and you fly up to the clouds.
