Yeah! This week at work I've been demoted. It's what I've been waiting for.
Okay, it wasn't really a demotion. I've just moved onto doing other stuff in the kitchen. I'm doing production stuff. That means chopping a lot of tomatoes and slicing mushrooms and cleaning greens and my personal favorite... peeling potatoes! Oh yeah - that's the stuff dreams are made of. Actually, I thought my first week here would be potato peeling. But when I got here, they trusted me with real food right away. That was neat. But now it's more bulk production. Sauces, Soups, Veg prep, all that good stuff. And that's what I'm up to now. I switch between prep and other stuff for a bit now. It means shorter days, but it also means I start earlier. Man, I've gotta wake up at 10. What's that about? |
