I could have included these pictures in my Online Friends Album. However this Friend was special and He's Gone on from this world. His name was Bill Warner. "Mr Bill" online. He passed away on July 4th, 2002 after many years of dialysis and heart problems.
Only in a world with something like the Internet could a gal from a small town in Southern Illinois become friends with a man almost old enough to be her dad, that grew up in the "gangs" of Washington DC.
He taught me alot about racing pigeons, told me about being a Medic in the Army, his kids and grandkids, and gave me some great advice during our Saturday morning coffee chats together.
He's buried in Indiantown Gap National Military Cemetery near his home in Pennsylvania.
I'll never forget him. |
