Erin Nihart  alto
Erin NIhart is originally from Faribault, MN. She attended high school at Bethlehem Academy and continued her education graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with the Honors of Magna Cum Laude in secondary Music Education with an emphasis on saxophone. While at school, she had numerous tours with the concert bands and an unforgettable experience in Europe with a saxophone quartet. erin is currently attending St. Mary's University working towards her Master's Degree in Education. Erin also has a son named William who is two.
Erin launched her career at the beginning of the millennium by attaining a teaching position for the Farmington School District. While in Farmington, Erin has a host of responsibilities that range from conventional band and jazz instruction to being a devoted staff and team member of several building leadership positions. Her jazz ensembles have appeared in many prestigious festivals and honor bands. Erin also loves to give private lessons, spends free time working as an adjudicator, and teaches master classes for middle level saxophones in the metro and surrounding areas. Along with the Big Band, Erin performs in the Owatonna Community Band.
