The Real Band is based in Mankato, has a full 5-5-4-4 instrumentation and performs a wide variety of jazz music. About half of our members are band directors, the other half coming from a variety of occupations. 18 of the region's top jazz players performing a wide variety of contemporary jazz including the music of Gordon Goodwin, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and more!
