My Top Ten Beatles Albums
Originally I had this for my top ten favorite albums but when I was browsing through my CD collection, I noticed that I had more greatest hits compilation albums than original albums. So I decided to concentrate on rating the albums of my favorite band, The Beatles. So here is my list of my favorite Fab Four albums from least to first:
10. Magical Mystery Tour
Definitely my least favorite album of theirs. I recommend getting 1967-1970 for the good songs so you don't have press the skip button a whole lot.
Favorite Track-#10: Baby You're A Rich Man
9. With The Beatles
This was only their second album so you can tell they were still a little green but it still has its bright spots.
Favorite Track-#8: Roll Over Beethoven
8. Abbey Road
This was the official last hurrah for the group and definitely a good way to go out. Can't go wrong with the medleys.
Favorite Track-#9: You Never Give Me Your Money
7. Rubber Soul
Nothing wrong with this album. I just don't listen too it much for some reason. But the guitar work is awesome.
Favorite Track-#13: If I Needed Someone
6. Let It Be (Naked)
I know I know, I have Let It Be...Naked up there but, to me, it sounds better than the original album.
Favorite Track-#6 (in "Naked" version): I've Got A Feeling
5. A Hard Day's Night
This is the first Beatles CD I bought and I'm glad I did. Their song writing (melody-wise) evolved here from the first two albums.
Favorite Track-#10: Things We Said Today
4. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Maybe it's just me but I can totally close my eyes, slap the headphones on my ears, and listen to this album.
Favorite Track-#4: Getting Better
3. Revolver
If you've noticed in music lists of best albums of all time, this album sometimes tops Pepper and I think rightfully so. Without Revolver, Pepper wouldn't exist.
Favorite Track-#5: Here, There And Everywhere
2. Help!
I think this one is a bit underrated. It still has the early Beatlemania, "yeah yeah yeah" sound but you can tell that they were changing to a different direction. "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" is a pretty good example. I like listening to this album.
Favorite Track-#10: You Like Me Too Much
1. The Beatles a.k.a The White Album
Even though you can tell the group was starting to separate themselves from each other, this album just totally rules above all. It showcases the four's ranging talents.
Favorite Track-#2: Dear Prudence
