Welcome! This site will brief you of my technical skills and abilities, what I have done/achieved in the past and what I am up to these days.

August 2004 - Present:
I am currently working as a Sr. Engineer at Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq:SYMC - News) in Enterprise Security Department's Security Information Manager product team. Symantec is the global leader in information security providing a broad range of software, appliances and services designed to help individuals, small and mid-sized businesses, and large enterprises secure and manage their IT infrastructure. Symantec's Norton brand of products is the worldwide leader in consumer security and problem-solving solutions.

May 2004 - August 2004:
After graduating from USC with Masters in Computer Science (GPA: 3.81), I accepted a full time offer as a Software Engineer from Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR-News), California. I was placed in their Corporate Offices in El Segundo, CA working in Query Performance and Optimizations Group at Systems Level. Teradata is the global technology leader in enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications, CRM, data warehousing and data mining services.  

May 2003 - May 2004:
While studying at USC, I worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Teradata for an year. I worked on developing and adding new SQL/XML functionalities to the Teradata Database to support event based application integration and development with Teradata. These functionalities enable shredding of XML Documents into relational tables, publishing XML/HTML back from relational tables and searching XML documents stored as CLOB data types using XPath functionality. This project was demonstrated at Teradata Partners User Conference in Seattle last September 2003. I than worked on adding new features to this project for the demonstration at 2004 Teradata Partners User Conference.

July 2000
- June 2002:
After completing my Bachelors in Computer Engineering (1996-2000) from Government College of Engineering (COEP) Pune - India, I worked for 2 years as a full time Software Engineer at ADP Wilco, an ADP (Automatic Data Processing) Company NY, USA (NYSE:ADP - News). I worked in the fields of Distributed Client Server processing, Database systems and Networks. ADP Wilco specializes in providing Financial Software Services to major Investment Banks in USA, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia. After having a valuable 2 years of experience at ADP, I decided to persue Masters in Computer Science from USC starting Fall 2002.

Hobbies:
My hobbies include drawing, painting, sketching, making cratoons and caricatures, playing table-tennis (ping-pong), cricket, bowling, pool and swimming. I have scanned and uploaded some of my cartoons and caricatures. Please have a look when in leisure.
