Dedicated to Marlene

For You This Day, My Dearest Friend.

I promise you, tis not the end
As I look back over days gone by,
I only wonder why, oh why?
Such joy, such fun you brought to all,
But now it seems, there’s come a wall.
I know it’s brief, yet quite a test,
until we all will take our rest.
But on this day, I sit alone and think of life.
The seeds we’ve sown,
A strong young son, with nervous dad,
Just trying hard not to be sad,
You know we care and we will try,
to keep their hopes and spirits high.
We’ll follow close, your husband Billy,
as young William drives him silly.
A test, you’ve left for both these two.
but with your strength, they will get through,
And as for me, a close, close friend,
I know for us, it’s not the end.
Though in this life, I feel a void,
I just think back of time enjoyed.
From all night parties rolling dough,
to Nestle bars, all in a row.
From great big tables, with no tips
To making plans for many trips.
There’s many things we’d planned to do,
with husbands worrying all night through.
I think together, with God’s love,
we may still do them up above.
But as for now the road is rough.
Pleas help us friend, to be so tough.
Please guide us from your place above.
And let us feel your endless love.
For understand that we all care.
And with your love, will always share.

This was a poem read by her friend,
Felicia and written by Felicia’s husband, Monty.
She worked with Felicia at Nestles Distribution Center.
She also worked at one time for Felicia's husband, at a pizza parlor.
She was also working as a waitress at Ryans Steak House when needed.
