The Lion asked the Beaver:
Where are your children?
The Beaver answered:
They've all left me
And headed down south,
Forgetting who it was
Who put food in their mouths.
The Unicorn asked the Beaver:
Why did they go?
The Beaver answered:
They thought that their freedom
Meant I was weak,
So they went to live
Under talon and beak.
The Seal asked the Beaver:
What will you do now?
The Beaver answered:
I may as well go
To my final rest,
My children have all gone
To the Eagle's nest.
