Traditionally forced to work away from home
Oft' accused of never "being there"
Sometimes forced for jobs to roam
When they'd rather stay to tousle hair
Forced to work long hours
Frequently underpaid
But there's backs to clothe and mouths to feed
Children to be raised
Usually underappreciated
For their labour is oft' unseen
But stop and think and you'll agree
Truly, Heros they have been
It's time their work was recognized
Credit given where credit is due
Let the words ring loud and clear
