**Champion of My Heart**Reimar's Colors of the Wind
October 29, 1995 - May 2, 1998
AKA, Peanut ** a stag red Min Pin
It is with great sadness that I must say that my beloved Peanut, also affectionately called Peanutity, passed away on May 2, 1998 and now awaits me at the Rainbow Bridge. She went peacefully in her sleep, but my life will be forever changed due to her presence in it. Photo Credit: Cecilia Barnett & Phyliss Brettell, taken Jan. 98
She is now the "Champion of my Heart" and will remain forever in my memory and heart as the Min Pin who made me fall in love with this wonderful breed. And as such retains her place of importance on my webpage even though she is only in my heart and soul.
Special note to Peanut: My dearest Peanut,
My life was forever changed due to your loving presence in my life and you will never be forgotten. I treasure the memories of your happy nature and your loving kisses upon my cheek. With laughter, I remember the first time we went into the show ring together and you made me feel like I had never shown a dog before, but I also remember the last time we went into the show ring together and you showed yourself to perfection making me happy with pride when you strutted your stuff to Winner's Bitch.Although I'm sure to have other Min Pins in my life and I will love them too, I will never be able to replace you in my heart. You are the "champion of my heart" and always will hold that special place in my heart. With fond memories and lots of love, I bid you farewell until the day we meet again and I see your loving face at the Rainbow Bridge. Please watch over me and keep me safe from harm.My love always and forever, MomJust this side of heaven is a place called "The Rainbow Bridge." ![]()
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
When a beloved pet dies who has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.It is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.There is always plenty of food, water and sunshine;Our friends are warm and comfortable.Those old and frail animals are young again, restored to health and vigor,Those who have been hurt and maimed are made whole and strong again.The animals play all day;
They are happy and content with each other. But, there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth; The one had to be left behind. Then the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks in the distance. The bright eyes are intent. The eager body quivers.Suddenly he breaks away from the group,Flying over the green grass; His legs carry him faster and faster. You have been seen. And when you and your special friend meet,You take him in your arms and embrace. The happy kisses rain upon your face.Your hands again caress the beloved head. You look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet.And then, together, you cross the Rainbow Bridge.Never to be separated.

HEAVEN'S DOGGIE DOOR
My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And Oh ... her many charms.Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart that's filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
God also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a "doggie door'!"~ (C) 1997 Mary Ellen Arthur
