Snowood
is a small hobby kennel in Upstate New York, devoted to
producing top quality Shibas. Following a brief time in West Tennessee, we relocated back to Western NY in September 2007. We began originally in Upstate New York and involved with Siberian Huskies (we still have a few), and became thoroughly
enchanted with the Shiba in 1992. We acquired a young red
female in March 1993, and the rest, as they say, is
history...
Because
quality, not quantity, is our main objective, we do not mass
produce puppies. We average one litter every 1-2 years. All
of our breeding stock is certified clear of hip dysplasia (OFA)and hereditary eye
disorders (CERF) BEFORE being bred.
All litters produced by Snowood are from Champion or Champion
pointed parents. We feel that this is the best way to gauge
our breeding program: Breed the best to the best, and expect
the best.
Puppies
are available occasionally, and we do have contacts with Shiba
Rescue, a very worthwhile
organization. If you are interested in further information,
