Adriana |
You wouldn't think that Adriana and I would work. We come from completely different backgrounds and grew up with entirely different values and beliefs. She's good with people, fashionable, put together, and occasionally a bit flighty. We have very little in common, and yet, I fell in love with her. I didn't mean to. Adriana and I first met near the end of our world as the Red Dragon took on Hyrule. At that time, I had little thought of love or romance or a future. Adriana and I had next to nothing to do with each other, other than occasional small talk in passing. Things changed in the Phoenix House. We were thrust into the same office day after day after day. We started talking. Not small talk. Real conversation. And we became friends. I started to admire her good qualities, her organization, her willingness to commit, and her continued sense of humor in the face of horrible disaster. People began to say that we were in love long before either of us realized it. I don't know what happened to change it. A part of it was Mia leaving me. At any rate, we fell in love. There was nothing conventional about it. I've asked Adriana to marry me. I know she's affraid of commitment and promising herself to another person, so I can only hope she won't break my heart. We plan to raise a family. She's already a great mother, with two wonderful kids of her own. I can't wait to start my life with her. |
