| Yarns There is not much to say about yarn. When buying yarn, much sure you purchase at least one skein (ball of yarn) of extra yarn. You may make many mistakes and have to begin over. When starting and finishing a project, leave at least one inch that must be weaved in. The reason for this is, later on your project may start to come apart. You will wish then you had added extra yarn so you could fix it. A good example would be my husband's afghan his grandmother made many years ago. The granny squares are beginning to separate from wear and washing. However, she "conserved" yarn and did not leave me anything to fix it with. Eventually, I will but it will not look right. Always leave extra and weave it in. |
