Courtney followed her mother to Port Charles. Courtney was reunited with her father Mike Corbin when she came to PC. Janine had mislead Courtney and told her that her father had died years ago. Courtney also met her half brother Sonny Corinthos. Courtney had a difficult time adjusting to her new family. So she was extra vulnerable when she met AJ Quartermaine. AJ had ulterior motives when they met, he wanted to use Courtney to get his son Michael back from Sonny. People tried to warn Courtney about AJ, but because she wanted to see the good in AJ, she wouldn't listen and continued her relationship with him. AJ convinced his family that he loved her and even got Courtney to run away with him to "protect" them from Sonny. They went to St. Sofia where AJ sent Sonny pictures of him and Courtney together. This infuriated Sonny. Alexis found out where they were and told Sonny. He immediately went to find them. And when Sonny found them together, he attacked AJ until Courtney broke the news that she and AJ had gotten married! Sonny was beyond angry but got over it for the sake of his relationship with his sister. But it was obvious AJ didn't care about Courtney. He offered Sonny a trade: he would give him his sister in exchange for his son Michael. Sonny flatly refused. AJ could not help but fall in love with Courtney for real. The Quartermaines did not approve of AJ marrying Sonny Corinthos' sister, so eventually AJ was forced to give up the money and move out of the mansion into an apartment with Courtney. To make ends meet, Courtney was forced to take a job waitressing at Kelly's. Courtney was used to being poor, but AJ was not. He spiraled out of control and one night while driving drunk, and smashed into a strip club. Wanting to save her husband, Courtney went to the club and asked the owner, Coleman not to turn AJ into the cops. Coleman agreed only if she would strip in his club to pay off the damages caused by AJ's accident. Courtney felt there was no other option and agreed to strip under the stage name Daisy. She lied to AJ and told him she got a night job at a bank. Sonny soon found out about Courtney's new job. He offered to give her money but she refused to take it. After AJ told Michael that Sonny kills people, Sonny and Jason made sure that AJ showed up at the club one night when Courtney was working. When he found out what she was doing to make money, AJ went over the edge and burned down the club. AJ and Courtney re- declared their love for each other and AJ decided to get a job, but unfortunately it took him out of town a lot. When Courtney found herself being stalked, Jason came to her rescue. They soon fell in love with each other. Courtney felt badly about her true feelings for Jason until she found out that AJ was her stalker. Courtney and Jason finally got to be together, but kept the truth hidden from Sonny. When they told him, Sonny at first was against it, but finally gave in and wanted his sister and best friend to be happy. Jason and Courtney held a nice private romantic wedding. Courtney found out she was pregnant with Jason's child. But she decided not to tell Jason because be was preoccupied with Carly being kidnapped by Lorenzo Alcazar. When Courtney went to help save her, she found herself trapped on a ship by Alcazar and was forced to jump overboard to save herself. After she got back to land safely she learned she had lost her and Jason's baby. When she got home, she told Jason the truth. Both were devastated and Courtney even turned to pills for a brief moment to deal with her pain. Unfortunately one of the consequences of Courtney turning to pills was that she hit Elizabeth Webber with her car, but didn't remember until it was too late. Luckily Jason helped her through it. Courtney's close friend Carly was in a coma after she was accidentally shot by Sonny. Courtney agreed to help take care of little baby Morgan and Michael. She decided to take them out of town for safety and stayed in a remote country cabin. There they met Brian, a local policeman who helped them out in their new surroundings. Eventually Jason brought Courtney back to Port Charles and soon Brian followed and got a job at the PCPD. Courtney and Jason drifted apart because she could no longer deal with his dangerous lifestyle. She found herself drawn to Brian, but was warned that he was only using her to get to Sonny. By accident Courtney shot Brian when she was trying to protect Jason. While in the Port Charles hotel fire, she helped a nice little old lady make it out of safely with her dog. The woman rewarded Courtney with a hefty amount of money. Courtney soon found herself as the CEO of a new company and up against her own brother Sonny and her ex Jason. Courtney and Jason finally signed divorce papers. With the money she received, Courtney started a new foundation to help under privileged kids. She even got Jax to sit on the Board of Directors. Jax approached Courtney with a bet- she doesn't sleep with him within the next three months, he will give her ten million dollars. Will Courtney be able to resist Jax's charm for the sake of her Foundation?
