					Sibling: Spencer Truman Significant Romantic Relationships: Tina Clayton Lord (1st wife/divorced), Dorian Lord (2nd wife/divorced) Con man David Vickers arrived in Llanview with forged entries of Irene Manning's (Victor Lord's lover) diary, claiming that she had killed Victor. David also claimed he was the long lost son of Victor Lord, and thus the Lord heir. The pages were authenticated, and Dorian Lord, who was on death row for killing Victor, was exonerated. David revealed the diary pages to be forged, so Dorian paid him $50,000 to buy his silence. David met Tina Clayton Lord, Victor's daughter and his "sister," and the chemistry was undeniable. Despite attempts to deny their attraction, the two made love. Disgusted with herself and guilt ridden, Tina was despondent. David, who truly cared for her, revealed that he wasn't really Victor Lord's heir. Tina's initial anger cooled and the two eventually married in secret. Viki Davidson, Tina's half-sister, discovered that David was not the Lord heir. Unstable and frequently slipping into different personalities, Viki's alter "Jean" forced David to divorce Tina or she'd reveal his scheme to the police. Wanting to avoid jail, David complied. "Jean" also forced David to marry Dorian (who Jean was blackmailing as well), despite the fact that the two hated each other. Even though they constantly fought, sexual tension filled the air when Dorian and David were in the room. Kelly Cramer, Dorian's niece, developed a crush on David. Kelly nearly seduced David and the two even got in bed together-but Dorian walked into the room in time to see them and was furious at David. She concocted a scheme where David was photographed in bed with Dorian's niece Blair, and the papers were published in The Banner. Labeled an adulterer, David walked away with nothing when Dorian later divorced him. Dorian confessed her scheme to David, and their mutual animosity turned into sexual passion---they made love on the floor of Dorian's house. Still, David wanted to get back at Dorian. Flirting with Kelly (who was hurting off seeing Dorian in bed with Joey Buchanan), he aggressively attempted to seduce her, but Kelly hit him over the head with a lamp. She believed she killed him, and carried his body to the woods. David was merely unconscious, soon awoke and kidnapped Kelly. Before he could get any ransom, Kelly was rescued and David quickly escaped town. David crossed paths with Blair and her ex-husband Todd Manning in Mexico in 2001. Blair had just given birth and Todd, believing the baby to be Max Holden's, wanted to give it away (he planned on telling Blair the baby died). Todd paid David to find a home for the baby. David did so, placing the boy with a Texas couple. When Todd discovered that the baby was actually his, he tracked David down and demanded to know where his son was. David told him, but started to blackmail Todd or he'd tell Blair the truth. A scheming Todd had David framed and arrested by the Moroccan authorities, and he was extradited and thrown in a Moroccan prison. David returned to Llanview in 2003, having gotten out of jail. He was on the hunt for the beautiful (and valuable) Badhra diamond, which was in the possession of Mitch Laurence---then husband to Dorian. Dorian and David's constant bickering began once again, but the two soon gave into their passion, and became engaged. However, Dorian told David she would not marry him unless he got a job. David was at a loss, but ended up getting hired to work at "Craze", a new magazine which Blair ran. When Dorian's Aunt Betsy came to Llanview she revealed to Dorian that she was dying, and wanted to leave her $30 million fortune to a female Cramer who had never been married nor had children. David schemed with Dorian that Adriana Colon, goddaughter to her longtime friend Carlotta Vega, was her long lost daughter in an effort to get the money. To that effect, Dorian told Adriana that she was her biological mother and invited her to move into her mansion, La Boulaie. Betsy fell for the scheme and named Adriana as her sole heir. Betsy soon after died in David's arms (she offered him $1 million for a kiss, the thrill of which killed her). Dorian later revealed to David that Adriana really was her daughter, and she had given her up years ago to protect her from Manuel Santi, her crime lord father. When Dorian & David learned that Aunt Betsy's money tanked in the stock market, they decided to go after the Santi millions left behind after Manuel Santi's death. It was discovered that three pieces of jewelry left to Dorian, Carlotta, and Adriana were engraved with a combination to a safe. David and Dorian joined her nephew Paul Cramer in Puerto Rico in search of the money. Unfortunately, they were led astray and never found their fortune. When Dorian was arrested for Paul's murder, David gave a false confession to get Dorian off the hook. David was arrested himself and became a suspect, but soon both were cleared of any charges. When Dorian was fired as hospital Chief of Staff following her arrest, she blamed Viki. Vowing revenge, Dorian enlisted David's confidence in her latest plan to get Viki fired from Llanview University. Dorian's plan succeeded, but her obsession with exacting revenge on the Buchanan's caused a major rift in her relationship with David. David felt neglected, and wanted Dorian to focus on their upcoming nuptials. When Dorian continued to focus on the Buchanan's, David took drastic measures by breaking up with her. He moved out of La Boulaie, and refused to come back until Dorian changed her ways. Both Dorian and David suffered through their time apart, and Dorian finally promised David she would focus her attention on their relationship. David agreed to move back in and the pair happily reunited. David's happiness was short lived when his older brother Spencer Truman came to town. David and Spencer's animosity was abundantly clear, and the pair share a secret from their past that David is desperate to keep hidden.
