A site for anyone recovering from addictions.
S.O.A.R. is about sharing Experience, Strength, and Hope. For support in fighting an addiction- be it alcohol, illegal or prescription drugs or food. All are welcome who would like to participate, make friends, and gain support throughout their recovery.
We are small but caring and truly can relate.

Please remember that this site is only an added benefit and support to the recovery process. Face to face meetings and in-person counseling are still a vital part of anyone's recovery.

"And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw,
and He knelt down and began to pray,..."

Luke 22:41 NASB

The final prayer of Jesus was about you. His final pain was for you. His final passion was for you. Before he went to the cross, Jesus went to the garden. And when he spoke with his Father, you were in his prayers.

And God couldn't turn his back on you. He couldn't because he saw you, and one look at you was all it took to convince him. Right there in the middle of a world which isn't fair. He saw you cast into a river of life you didn't request. He saw you betrayed by those you love. He saw you with a body which gets sick and a heart which grows weak. . .

On the eve of the cross, Jesus made his decision.
He would rather go to hell for you than go to heaven without you.

from "And the Angels Were Silent" by Max Lucado.

It took all the way to Solomon's old age and his pursuit of all happiness and wealth to finally learn the greatest lessons of life:

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun:
a time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance...
a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek...
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
