| Islam's five pillars : 1_ Believing that God is only one, nothing and no one deserves to be worshiped but him & Muhammad is his messenger and prophet. 2_ Performance the five prayers everyday. a) Dawn prayer-before the sunset- b) Noon prayer-mid day when the sun is vertical- c) Afternoon prayer d)Sunset prayer. e)Night prayer. 3_ Charity [alms giving]. All money is God's and needy people have the right to take the Charity even if you don't like that, it's their right! (2.5%of your money every year ofcourse that only if you are rich enough) 4_ Fasting the month of Ramadan. from the dawn to the sunset( No food, drink, and sex) but if you are ill or travelling you have the right to not fast. 5_ Performing the Hajj at least once in your life ( if you have the money and the ability and in a good health). |

| What is Islam? Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a fifth of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the majority have nothing to do with the extremely grave events which have come to be associated with their faith. |
| What do Muslims believe? Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God; in the Angels created by Him; in the prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind; in the Day of Judgement and individual accountability for actions; in God's complete authority over human destiny and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them. But God's final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel. |
| Who is "Allah"? Many people think that "Allah" is a special god Muslims worship, but this is wrong, the word Allah is just the Arabic word of God. Arabs used to use this word even before Islam. Also the Arab Christians use this word, it's mentioned in the Bible. The point is that "Allah" is not an Islamic word, it's Arabic word that means God. |
