Something was wrong.. REALLY wrong.. Though Dawn knew that both her and Gabrielle liked to leave the Institute every now and then, but this time, Dawn was starting to question the fact that Gabrielle had went on a friendly outing. Running a hand coarsely through her hair, she once again gave a little mental scan of the manor.
“You’ve really done it now,” Smirked the voice of the Phoenix, ringing distinctly in her ears, “You’ve managed to lose your best friend…”
“Shut up,” Dawn fought back, worst case scenarios passing through her mind at rapid speed, most of which were more than likely provided by the Phoenix itself. “You don’t know anything…”
On one side of an ambient hallway, decorated by nothing save for its clean, white walls and flooring, were numerous rooms housing an untold number of mutant. While some containing areas were empty, the cell closest to the large, rectangular opening near the entrance was housed by a rather disgruntled blonde. Slender fingers grasped firmly onto the bars separating the young woman from the corridor. Across the back of her hands, several dark bruises and abrasions could be seen, a clear testament to her early failed escape attempt.
Despite her proximity from the exit, Gabrielle’s run at freedom was indeed futile. Though she managed to battle her way out of her chamber, within a matter of seconds, the sheer number of the opposition was enough to overwhelm her. “If only I would’ve had my powers,” Came a grumble, though it was not audible to anyone who might be near. Using a free hand to place protectively over the diagonal gash along her left side, Gabrielle peered her head through the cast iron bars, blue eyes searching for anyone walking down the empty corridor…
Seeing no one, she began tugging on the collar around her neck, and then slowly walked away from the bars, taking a seat along a flat piece of cold, hard outcropping of metal that was used for a bed. So far, the questions that she had been asked were basically inconsequential at best. This inclination led Gabrielle to believe that she had not been captured to provide information. Not that she would in the first place. No, the more Gabrielle thought about the entire ordeal, the more she was left to assume that she was bait. That fact was more painful to realize than others, for she knew who it was that they were targeting. And she’d be damned if she’d willingly play a part in their plan.
The force of retaliation that Dawn was putting up against the Phoenix was slowly falling.. Little by little, her defense failed.. Stumbling slightly, she reached out a hand to balance herself against one of the stone statuettes in the hallway.. Mumbling softly under her breath, she continued to battle the thoughts.. and the pain… “It’s not possible..” She sighed, shaking her head violently, “Not ---“ Her eyes cut to the front of the main entrance as she felt another near her…
A small burst of wind marked Spike’s dash through the front doors. Chest rising and falling at an inhuman rate.. “Your girl..” He heaved, doubling over as he tried to catch his breath, “Your friend… She’s in trouble!” His little spur of the moment outing had proved quite useful, and quite horrendous as he happened upon the mutant concentration camp of the Anti-Mutants. Using the night as a cover, he managed to overhear the conversation of a few guards outside the door.. Hearing the comment about the feisty blonde, he knew it could be no other.. And he hadn’t stopped the rest of the way home…
Fury danced in her eyes as her mind extracted all the details from Spike’s open mind.. “We have to go get her..” Fists were curled till bone almost penetrated the flesh of her knuckles.. “But we can’t do it alone.. We need Que too..”
“Bloody right we do..”
Que’s ears perked at the sound of his name. Though he would never admit it, he was eavesdropping on Dawn and Spike, but only because it seemed to be a matter of great importance. Even if he hadn‘t heard the conversation, all he would have had to do was simply glance at the pair. Their body language alone told that something was awry.
“I am here,” He replied, walking out of the nearby room from which he had taken refuge in only minutes before. “ I do so love to hear that I am needed.” The situation hardly called for a joke, a dry one at that, but it was the only thing Que really knew how to do. “What’s the plan, Captain?” He asked, taking moving to stand beside the vampire, albeit a fair distance away.
Knowing that Que wouldn’t be too far away from Spike, being the two would never miss a chance to torture each other, Dawn had mentioned his name audibly. “Que,” She began slowly, trying to keep her own composure to that of a captain, “Gabrielle is in trouble.. And according to Spike here, it’s not a trouble that any of us will come out of easily..” A small sigh escaped her lips as she pleaded with her eyes… “If you help us, you are involving yourself.. But she needs our help.. If you're with us, let's move.. If not, take care of the students.. We may not be coming back..."
Que didn’t even need a second to debate whether or not to join in on Dawn and Spike’s efforts. Before she had even asked, he was willing to help. He had long since disobeyed the order of neutrality given to him when he first came to the institute. Consequences were of no concern at this point.
“Say no more,” Que answered, holding up a hand, “I am ready to help.” He gave a side ways glance at Spike, then shifted his gaze back towards Dawn. “Besides, the children here seem to be able to handle themselves quite well…” He could've stopped there, but he continued, jabbing a thumb towards the figure beside him, "And if he's going, you'll need me too. We all know that."
Braeden had been casually walking down the hall when he heard some commotion. He headed towards the sound and found the gang all together. Overhearing what had happened, Braeden got a bad feeling in his gut. "Gabrielle has been kidnapped!?!" he muttered to himself. He knew that in these times, being kidnapped wasn't good, but being a kidnapped mutant was even more dangerous. Everyone else was quick to volunteer to help, and Braeden would have too, but he realized that someone had to stay behind with the other students. "You guys don't need to worry. I'll hold down the fort while you are gone." It was really hard for him to not leave with the rest, but he figured Gabrielle would be happy knowing that he had thought of protecting the students. He sent his heart out with his companions as he dissappointedly stood in the corridor.
Once they left, Braeden realized that he had to keep himself busy. Some of the older students had some idea of what was going on on the outside, but many of the younger students were you young and sensitive to know too much, except that there is danger out there. He enlisted all the help he could find from fellow students and called a group meeting in the Rec Room. "Tonight," he stated loudly for all to hear, "is going to be SUPER FUN GAME AND MOVIE NIGHT!" He paused as the children cheered and jumped around. "I have planned competitions and movie marathons for everyone to enjoy!" The rest of the night, he worked on having fun, trying no to think of all the danger his friends might be in.
“Hardy har, bloody har…” Spike grumbled, growling softly as he cut his eyes towards Que, “Now, let’s go play…”
+Nearing the Building+
The placement of the building couldn’t be in a more perfect place.. Right smack dab in the middle of town.. A small sign displaying Starbucks swung softly in the small gales of night wind, and anyone passing by would suspect nothing of the place. But that is where the guard was the weakest.. It seemed, to Dawn, that there were a number of entrances to the concentration building, this Starbucks being the closest, not to mention, the safest in their case. “We are going in after Gabrielle, and any others that we can get out quickly..” She whispered through clenched teeth as she mentally pried the lock from the door, “Make sure you watch –everything- “ She continued, remembering vividly the past accounts of violence, “Do not fall into a trap..”
Taking a look at the door in the back of the small café, Spike gave a little smirk, “You reckon that’s where we go?” Finding a small set of white lab coats hidden under the front desk, he took one for himself and then tossed one to each of the others, “This’ll give us cover for a while…”
"You're not going to come out alive..."
Without warning, the camp suddenly sprung to life. Heavily armored guards that had once stood motionless in the corners of the halls all seemed alert, as if expecting something. Every once and awhile, Gabrielle would catch a glance from one of them, and their eyes told it all. Her friends were coming.
Gabrielle threw herself painfully off of the bed and onto her feet, and dashed towards the cast iron bars, once again holding onto them as she peered towards the exit. The area was practically buzzing, orders being shouted out and obeyed, weapons were being expected… “No…” Gabrielle whispered, heart beginning to race. Turning away from the cell doors, the young woman began trying to tear away at her collar, trying desperately to free herself from her power restraint, but it was of no use.
Gabrielle couldn’t let her friends venture into the camp, it held far more dangers than one could expect. Tales of the security systems and other measurements were told to all prisoners, as to try and convince them that escape was not possible. Placing one hand along her head in desperation, Gabrielle sent out a silent plea that she could only hope her friend would hear. Dawn, you can’t come… It’s a trap… They‘re expecting you…
Before Gabrielle could finish, she was snapped back to attention with the sound of her own cell door opening, and the sight of several, large guards pouring into her room.
The green haired girl briskly walked down the side walk, stopping at the front door of the cafe and searching through her pockets. Pulling out a five dollar bill, she tried to open the door, not noticing that it was closed. "Aw, hell..." She muttered, pocketing the money again. "Where the 'ell can I get a caramel Frap?!" She muttered to herself, obviously annoyed that all of the coffee places were closed at that time. After getting her calmness back, she started to walk down the path again.
Suddenly, she stopped. Far off noises seemed to have gotten her attention. "Hellooo...???" She cautiously walked towards the shadows, narrowing her eyes in order to see more clearly.
The bond that the two friends shared wasn’t weakened by the situation, in fact, it was strengthened, for Dawn had been mentally combing the entire building, looking for that familiar thought pattern of her friend.. The warning was loud a clear, resounding through Dawn’s mind as if her friend was right there beside her..
“Hear that? It’s a trap.. You do remember what happened last time…”
There it was.. Power.. It rested within her, though Dawn had fought it ever since the dark source began to take over where righteous once reigned.. But now, she needed that power.. More than she could imagine, for she had seen the massive numbers of troops.. The monstrous wave of thoughts were shunned from her psychic mind by the other problems that toiled there.. “It’s a trap..” She whispered coldly, to all around her, “They have us right where they want us..”
Spike eyed the door, expecting it to fly open at any moment, revealing a hall of heavily armed guards.. “We can’t leave her in there..” He scoffed, knowing Dawn would never even entertain the thought.. Hearing not the reply he suspected so soon, Spike turned to face Dawn. There was something incredibly different about her.. No longer did she seem nervous.. She seemed to have the power, and she knew it… Her eyes had glazed over; a slight purple haze glimmered around her body for a moment before dispersing.. “What are we going to do?”
“Kill them..” Dawn smirked, slowly but surely giving her will to the Phoenix within, “Kill them all…”
Jasmine continued walking towards the ajar door, light pouring out from the crack and illuminating the darkness. "Errr... Are you guys open?!" She asked rather happy, opening the door, grinning widely. The same time it took for her mood to change from annoyed to happy, she became confused. Her expression clearly showing it. "...Dawn....?"
Que noticed the odd change in Dawn, and never before seen anything of its kind. Though he could not yet tell if the transformation was for better or worse, there seemed to be an uncanny sense of confidence and power surrounding the young woman. “Kill them?” Que repeated, shaking his head ever so slightly, for at the moment he held a fair amount of fearful respect for Dawn. This being the case, he quickly silenced, knowing that she and her small band of heroes had a great deal more wisdom when it came to matters of this caliber. “What ever you say, Captain. Lead the way.”
After being escorted to the small opening at the end of the corridor, Gabrielle was then directed towards a large wall. This wall was not plain and white like the others, but was made entirely of surveillance screens. Dozens of pairs of eyes all stared at the monitors. Only one set was glimmering with fresh tears that had yet to fall. In an instant, however, they dried, as her gaze focused in on a the set of keys left carelessly on the control panel. She knew that she had to do something. Countless units had already been dispatched.
Inconspicuously inching her way towards the set of keys she grasped them and tucked them swiftly under her sleeve. The only thing left to do know what to wait.
She blinked, speechless at was going on and how they hadn't noticed her. At first, she would have tried to make herself visible to the other, but now... now she decided that it was best as it is, carefully walking backwards slowly. No... I can't... She thought, stopping in her tracks, dumbfounded. She couldn't possibly leave the people she knew and lived with for the last year or so. The people she had become good friends with. She stood silently, in the door way, not knowing what her next move should be.
“Dawn,” Spike began slowly, remembering the occurrences that had happened just after Dawn had awoken from her coma.. She had felt the evil inside her, and though she fought it, it had taken over, “You know I hate to be the bloody voice of reason.. But we can’t kill them all..” Returning her ferocious glare with one of his own, he continued, “Don’t let that part of you take over…”
“Speak for yourself,” Dawn growled, clawing the door, about to pull it open, “There are a good number of men and women on the other side of this door, just waiting for it to move so they can shoot us… And you want me to play nice? Spike,” She cooed, viciously, “When did you go so soft?”
Spike growled, placing his own hand against the door in defiance, “When the Dawn I knew gave up…” Cutting his eyes to the door, he began again, “We don’t need a mass murder on our heads, you know that, right? If you kill all these people, what the bloody hell do you think the government will do to your school?”
There was a moment of silence from the girl as Spike’s words struck an iron cord in Dawn’s heart.. A mass murder? Was she capable of it? Could she honestly be the factor behind some children waking up the next morning to find they have lost their father or their mother? “Fine,” She offered, cracking the door, “We’ll hurt them.. Badly.. But not a one killed.. Unless they –really- deserve it,” A quick thought passed through her mind, “After we’re done here, their memory will be gone.. It’ll appear to the public that it was some crazed cult or something.. Now, happy? Get ready…”
As suspected, the opening of the door was marked by a way of bullets and various laser rays, all of which curled in defeat in front of the psychic barrier set up by Dawn. “All this for us?” Dawn smirked, “You shouldn’t have… Really…”
Noticing the arrival of another student from the manor, Que motioned for the girl to follow. “Keep close. We don’t need everyone being split up now…” His speech was cut short at the sight of Dawn opening the small barrier that had separated them from the swarm of troops. Dark eyes widened as he watched the young woman stop shield the group with absolute ease.
The images across the screens could no longer be tolerated by Gabrielle. The impulse to act was strong, and she gave into it. Yanking herself free from the guard who had a hold of her by one arm, a swift kick to his middle sent him flying backwards and crashing loudly into the wall behind him. Catching the attention of the few other troops in the room, they charged at her, but Gabrielle was already a great distance down the opposite end of the corridor, leading towards an exit.
Maneuvering her way around large pieces of electronic equipment, one hand was used to fend of blows while the other was used in attempt to unlock the collar fastened around her neck. Finally, a soft clicking sound told that it had no more power of the young woman. A smile flashed across her face. Or was it a smirk? Either way, with the aid of her energy blasts, dispatching of the few remaining guards was a great deal easier.
Thinking quickly, Gabrielle pulled the master lever that opened all the cells, allowing the other captive mutants to join her. With a wave of her hand, she motioned for those who were willing to follow. She couldn’t be certain even one would accompany her, nor did she even stop to check, the only thing on her mind was getting to the other side of the camp in time…
Alix quickly emerged from her cell, looking for the one who freed them... {there, alix there} said her own voice in her own head- much like someone who would mutter to themselves with a real voice, this voice was different- telepathic. She moved quickly towards Gabrielle, and smiled, but more for showing friendliness than anything else- and made sure to make it apparent that she WAS following her, but also, for the moment, resovled to remain silent, trying her best to keep to flowing emotions from the mutants out- no longer having the strength to keep the barrier that blocked such things up.
Jasmine nodded. Okay, so she had to follow them, right? What else should she do? "Errr..." She started, noticing all of the bullets and lasers just stop at a certain point, where, she assumed, was the psychic shield that Dawn had placed. Again, she found herself not doing anything, but just staring. "You guys need any help here? Goddess of weather at your service!"
The sudden shift of fate seemed to strike Dawn violently as she felt the sense of freedom, and yet, fear, overcome all those that were in captivity of the building. The force that hadn’t quit firing their weapons, a rather childish action resulting from their mounting fear, had finally ran out of ammunition. “Done?” Dawn laughed, letting the massive amount of frozen bullets fall to the ground in front of them. With grace, she stepped across the little mound they made and peered directly at the leader of this armory..
That leader knew that they had been defeated by nothing more than a simple gesture from the enemy.. A part of Dawn pitied the woman, for she could remember a number of times that she herself had encountered those same feelings. Then again, this entire building was dedicated to the torture and mass destruction of mutants.. Empathetic feelings gone! With a brush of her hand, Dawn parted the crowd, plastering each of the armed men and women to a wall so that her friends and she could pass easily by.
“Come on,” Dawn called, dashing down the hall as she noticed the first few pitiful figures of fellow mutants round the corner. On the opposite end of the hall was a set of gunmen.. They hadn’t the time to take aim before Dawn curled their weapons around their necks, choking the breath from their lungs just long enough to black them out.. “Gabby?!” She called, ushering those she had seen earlier past her, “Where are you?!”
Most of the corridors Gabrielle had managed to battle her way through held only a small number of guards after every door. This thought gnawed at her, for more than likely they had been sent towards her group of friends. Gabrielle ran faster, filling the long hallway with a bright blue glow, taking notice of nothing. Observing only things that she saw as a threat; a target. Nothing, not even the fact that another mutant was following her, registered.
One area after the next. All sparsely protected. All apparently the same. Gabrielle soon fell victim to relying on this trend. Although the outward appearance of the large metallic door looked the same, it led to a very different room. This one was massive not only in size, but in the number of posted sentries along the multiple floors. Upon her entrance, all eyes - and weapons - were aimed at the blonde. Only one shot was fired. Only one was needed. Caught of guard, Gabrielle was not able to dodge the bullet, and it was soon embedded in her left shoulder.
Falling to the ground in pain, hand over her wound, angry blue eyes darted towards the individual who fired as several figures loomed over her.
“Any moment now, boys.” The voice called, soon deafened by a loud roar of cheers.
Jasmine followed behind Dawn, looking at the people who adorned the walls. "Do you guys want me to fry the system? To destroy everything... literally just fry everything?" She asked, trying to ignore the glares shooting at her. She wrapped a lock of her curly green hair around a finger nervously, awaiting their answer.
Alix jumped, more than the shot getting to her mind... she looked around, fear apparent in every tiniest of movement’s {no, Alix... focus.. you have to save her, and yourself... focus} she closed her eyes, and sent out a plea, to any mutant she could sense in the area, and then quickly turned her attention to those advancing, readying to fight ::this will not happen!:: her voice rang coldly in the minds of those who weren't mutants in the room, a very different voice than what should belong to the shuddering, fearful girl who stood just a minute ago.
She looked to Gabrielle. :;are you alright?:: once again her tone of voice changed and she seemed more kindly, almost in a strange motherly, protective like way.
She smiled kindly. ::Don't worry, we'll be alright...::
“Personally,” Que replied, glancing back towards the green-haired member of the group, “Frying sounds like a good idea. Leaving them nothing.” Picking his way through the ground littered with the people that Dawn had sent flying against the walls. Que was in complete awe. Such power from someone so young was rare.
“Doesn’t like you guys really -needed- me,” He remarked, expecting no answer as he glanced at those who had fallen, along with those choking on their weapons. Again, his head shook in amazement. But only for a moment before following the others, in search of Gabrielle.
The suggestion of Veronica’s only slightly registered in Dawn’s mind as she mentally located Gabrielle, “There’s no time..” She called, not looking back as she thrust her foot into the back of another attacker while mentally draining him of any energy he may have possessed. “All wires are … covered, you'll have to find the … control room..” She continued, pausing slightly to issue another blow to the new crew of invaders.
The facial features of Spike changed drastically, as the demon within him was unleashed. Careful not to break his vow and not bite anyone, he settled for the supreme pleasure of issuing a number of blows as Dawn had been doing. The violent roar from a crowd caught his attention, “Dawn!” He called, pulling a man away from her back as he cut his eyes toward the door, “In there!”
In fact, Dawn had felt the surge of pain that Gabrielle had encountered, and fear left her frozen solid, but only for a moment. Nodding swiftly to the others, she flew quickly over the causalities that they had left to adorn the floors of the building.
As it had before, Dawn’s entrance was glorified with another wave of bullets.. As if it was a refrain in a melody, all stopped at her command once again. Through the peppered vision created by the steel pieces, Dawn could make out the form of Gabrielle and some other girl hovering over her. With a wave of her hand, the bullets fell once again, and almost all the men in the room found that they could no longer speak.. “Really,” She smirked, only speaking after she kneeled down to check on Gabrielle, “I don’t know what made you think you could defeat –us-…”
Alix looked slightly at Dawn, surprised that so many came, and that so much had happened- and that she was free. {free} she sighed. Something that had not been for a while, and, for the moment, she had it- quite exhilarating, but still not quite true, os quickly she pulled herself back into reality, and turned to Dawn, nodding, not feeling it was the right moment for introductions...so she just smiled slightly, again, as she had done with Gabrielle.
Although Gabrielle could not see Dawn and the others, as soon as the troops inside the room opened fire, she knew undoubtedly where her friend was. Bullets and other projectiles stopped dead in the air before falling to the hard ground below. The sound of their aluminum casing crashing against the cement flooring was the only thing resonating off the cold walls.
It was not until she could see Dawn that she let out a great sigh of relief, having feared the worst since the very beginning of the entire endeavor. Struggling to stand, Gabrielle used her good arm to push herself upright, and soon regained her composure. Or the majority of it. She took a few steps to stand just behind and to the side of her friend, watching the majority of men’s once stoic faces fear with terror. What happened next was to be expected. Those who could run did so. A clattering of weapons could be heard before hundreds of soldiers all dashed for the nearest exits.
“You sure do have ways with people,” Gabrielle laughed as she watched the men flee, their pride and dignity forgotten, and it their place only a desire to run. Whirling back towards the girl who had followed her bravely all the way from the holding cells, Gabrielle gave a sincere smile of thanks before turning once again to watch what was going on before her.
Control room, eh... She thought, walking, almost running along side the others. Upon reaching the room, Jasmine stood aside, looking up and around the hall for some way to get to the controls without being noticed. "Aha..." She murmured, jumping up high enough to reach the small, metal filter. With one tug, she fell to the floor, filter in hand. "Okay then..." Once again, Jasmine jumped up, her hands getting hold on the inside of the vent.
After succeding with climbing through it and finding another vent which led to the inside of the room, She lowered herself down towards the nearest mountain of equiptment. Her hands were surround with yellowish-blue lighting. At that same exact moment, one of the members of the enemy turned and looked at her. She smiled softly, kissing her hand and blowing away a bolt, the person immediatly falling to the ground with contact. Her unused hand touched the top of a moniter, sending bolts throughout the whole system. Within seconds, sparks started coming out of the computers and screens accompanied by smoke.
Crackles of electricity echoed through the building, causing Dawn to laugh aloud as she looked up to what appeared to be the leader of the entire operation, “Game.. Match..” Kneeling down once again, she began to help Gabrielle up, not sure how wounded the girl actually was. Truthfully, Dawn was getting weakened herself.. The power of the Phoenix had been exhausted, and now, she was relying on what little bit was left, and her own. Each person within that building that had anything to do with the Anti-mutant rebellion was slowly losing his or her memory at her hands.
“You hear that?” She asked, cutting her eyes once again to the man in front of the room, “That is all your records.. Files.. Everything.. You have nothing left!” A devilish smirk crossed her lips, “We’ve won…” With that, she let her mental hold on him go and he too fled the room..
After the room was cleared, Dawn’s knees began to tremble lightly, marking how weak she had actually become over the last portrayals of power. “Sorry we couldn’t make it sooner,” She sighed, offering an apologetic smile to her friend, “You alright?”
There wasn’t much time.. Not since the systems had been fried.. Everything would be going up in flames in a matter of moments.. “Hello?” Spike called, waving his hands madly at the two as he paced in front of the door, “Lots o’ electricity means FIRE! Fire is bad! Let’s get the bloody hell out of here!”
Jasmine jumped down from the vent and stood facing all of the computers, electric bolts appeared here and there. Standing in a stance, she out stretched her arms and hands, her eyes glowing a bright blue as she tried to control the electricity with her own lightning. "You guys..." She muttered, grinding her teeth down. "...go... I'll take care of this..." She continued to hold the electricity and the small flames, a few black clouds forming over the equiptment. Her eyes narrowed dangerously, her weight shifting to her feet as she tried not to get pushed away from the power as the flames slowly grew bigger. <.font>
“Don’t be silly, Dawn.” Gabrielle replied, offering support for Dawn, whose knees she had noticed beginning to tremble. No doubt from exertion. Such awesome displays undoubtedly drained her friend. Her gratitude was ineffable, mere words could not describe in anyway what she felt for all those who risked themselves to help not only retrieve Gabrielle, but also put an end to the human testing in that awful camp. “Thanks… Guys..” Was all she could say…
”Now I see why you brought me!” Que shouted, running in from the other, now empty corridor, not admitting he had gotten lost, which was the reason for his rather later arrival. “Well, have no fear all, take an body part, and we shall all be back at the manor in the blink of an eye." Que glanced towards the group, then back to the fire.
“Unless of course this is your idea of a celebration barbeque, in which case I must object to cooking poor Whitey here.” Taking a few extra steps closer, he outstretched and arm, and waited for everyone to signal that they were ready. "Any day now."
"Okay... on the count of three I'm going to let go of this, and it'll all expload. Not to mention that we might expload if you aren't fast enough,... err... Guy..." She titled Que, not really knowing or remember his name at all. She took small steps back, getting closer to the group. "One... two..." She counted, the mixture of flames and electricity nearing them...
"Three!" She yelled, letting go and practically throwing herself to Que, getting a hold of his leg.
Both Dawn and Spike placed a hand on each of Que's arms.
As instructed, Gabrielle grabbed his arm too.
Que grinned, then teleported all parties safely back to manor.
It was over, their struggle against the Anti-Mutant force.. They had won… They were safe.. For now anyway.. For there is ‘true peace’ within the community of humans and those who differ.. Never had Dawn been happier to see the manor, or longed for her bed so much. “Everyone alright?” She asked, nodding to each slightly before letting go of Que’s arm, “That’s good.. Good..” Offering a weak smile, she turned to head towards her room, “Goodnight…”
