Thoughts
One after another, random,
non-stop and unstoppable.
Torture
Thoughts of loved ones
Of ones you thought loved.
Betrayal
Thoughts hurting you
But not your mind that hurts.
Lies
Un-truths to fill gaps
What people thought they wanted to hear.
Un-certainty
But what in this world is certain?
Death
It is thought to be the end
Or is it just the beginning?
A single thought stands out
the lies and the betrayal
of one you thought loved.
Would life be better without pain? Without pain how would we know what
brings us joy, happiness? Pain is a part of life, along with death, birth
and re-birth, joy, love.

Who am I?
Who am i,
the second child
(the first girl)
of two who
thought they would love
until death parted them.
Who am i,
older sister to three
younger sister of one,
book reader, protector
and helper.
Who am i,
the teenage girl
the check out chick
the square or the girlfriend.
Who am i,
bestfriend, close friend
workmate, lover,
sister, daughter.
Who am i,
aqurian
born in the year of the dog.
Who am i,
a girl
doing her last year of high school
a bestfriend
a girlfriend
who is confused
about life
and what it is all about.
Does anyone know? about life or who they truly are?

This has changed
Now my heart receives just as much
Maybe more than it gives
My body experiences unfamiliar and
Frighteningly delightful things and my mind . . .
My mind begins to plan my future
A future in no one's shadow
Although I do not quite understand
What it is about me you find so appealing
I give in to these feelings
I realize that they are uniquely
Fascinating and very pleasing
And in return for it all
The new experiences and sensations
Of my heart, my body, and my mind . . .

The Truth
You hide the truth from
those who do not understand
and judge you because of it.
The rules, the game,
you have to play
or society scorns you
then you find your true friends.
Rebellious and naive
you don't play by the rules
and are hurt by their reactions.
You begin to judge yourself
am i too fat,
do i need implants,
uncertainty like society dictates.
The truth is now hidden
even from you.
Do not hide behind societies labels, be who you are, who you are destined to
be and the truth will uncover itself.

Have you ever really wondered,
about the length of your life
and what will you be remembered for
when you are no-longer living.
Have you ever really wondered,
about the fairness of life
taking the young and innocent
when they have yet to experience life.
Have you ever really wondered,
about what it would be like
to get up one morning
and that night go to bed in a box.
Have you ever really wondered
who would be truly upset
if you never actually
make it home one night.
Have you ever really wondered
if there is life after death,
if there is an end to the pain,
if there is something better waiting for us.

Life is........
making mistakes and learning from them
loving and then losing what you loved
taking a few small steps and falling
trying again and again
finding love where you least expect.
Life is ..........
a flower blooming
a tear drop falling
a baby's first smile
a stranger helping.
Life is ...........
joy, happiness, laughter, fun,
pain, agony, heartache, depression,
loving, sharing, caring, talking,
lieing, hiding, decieving, disbelieving.
Life is .......... life.
