Assignment with Goldman Sachs:(May 2000 - April 2001) Senior QA Lead for User Authentication, Portfolio Reporting, Market Data and Content delivery products. The system, designed for high net worth clients, is a centralized E-Commerce web-based trading system that provides on-line trading for various financial products, portfolio reporting, and access to market news and company research.

Managed a team of 5 testers through design, development, initial and subsequent release phases.

Assignment with Merrill Lynch:(September 1999 - May 2000) Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Working on Merrill Lynch’s centralized web-based e-commerce business to business online trading portal for Direct Markets Equity & Debt products. QA Test Manager for Futures and Options products – Futures and Options Reporting product allows clients to view or export information including: Same day activity reports, Client status reports, Statements and Historical reports and Management reports that summarize trade activity across futures products and accounts. Futures and Options Administration application allows for creation and maintenance of user entitlements for the Futures and Options Reporting application. Equity Allocation application enables blocking and allocation of equity executions.

Testing planning, coordination, and management included unit through User Acceptance Testing. Managed a team of up to 4 testers in order to meet a 3 week software release cycle. Technologies involved secure communications using Public/Private key technology through SSL. Testing included validation of proper GUI functionality as well as back-office processing of trade information.

Client Access Quality Assurance Technical Officer, July 1998 - September 1999

Quality Assurance Technical Officer working with financial based Internet Electronic Commerce applications. Involved in design and implementation of testing strategies for various Electronic Commerce Customers. Testing efforts were focused on assuring secured connections using a multiple public/private key solution in a client-server environment. Testing was designed and performed from a buyer, seller, and financial institution perspective including unit through user acceptance testing.

Electronic Commerce implementations and testing included EDI message construction, transmission, validation, subsequent back-office processing and securing acknowledgement messages via Entrust, PKCS, and RSA. Communication solutions tested included secure connections via SSL handshake, PKCS wrappers, and other client-specific configurations. Message formats tested range from flat files and non-standard message types to ASC X12 Standard messages.

Assignment with Chase Manhattan Bank: Quality Assurance Consultant working with the Chase Workspace application. Involved in the design and implementation of a testing strategy for the multi-tiered distributed internet client-server Workspace application. Planning and testing efforts were designed to identify potential problems and to validate the application from an end-user perspective.

Testing efforts applied to ACH, Funds Wire Transfer, Cash Reporting and Investment Services applications. Testing efforts also included close evaluation of Workspace security through a Virtual Private Network via a public internet service provider. Dealt with Workspace interfaces with and processing through back-office mainframe systems. Involved in Disaster Recovery planning and configuration for the Workspace platform. Evaluated various automated software test tools for implementation in Chase testing efforts. Provided Pilot-customer support and training of customer support personnel.

Test Engineer within the Maneuver Control System (MCS) Integration and Test Division, ASEC New Jersey Office. Involved with MCS Block IV software development, integration and test of one of the five Command and Control (C2) Systems which make up the Army Command and Control information planning system.

Responsibilities included direct input to and development of software test plans, software test descriptions, software test reports and the overall testing strategy. Activities included execution of unit level through system level software testing, Client/Server testing, GUI testing, development of use cases, scenarios, system models, documentation, and formal execution of test procedures.
Automated Test tool experience includes use of the McCabe Tool, Rational Testmate, and Mercury X-Runner to aid in code analysis, generation of test scripts, storage of test artifacts, and execution of qualification and regression testing.
