sono Giovanni Maini e sono nato il 12 settembre del 1970 a Bologna, città bellissima dove abito tuttora. Mi sono appena laureato in architettura a Firenze (il 25 marzo 1997). L'argomento della mia tesi era la SEZIONE AUREA un argomento molto vasto che consente un approccio multidisciplinare all'argomento, approccio comprendente una riflessione sulla critica artistica, cosiderazioni sulla psicologia della percezione e raffronti tra filosofia, matematica e arte. L'architettura é un argomento che mi coinvolge molto e a cui dedico molto tempo. Sono affascinato dalle ultime tendenze dell'architettura contemporanea ma mi interessano altrettando delle esperienze della corrente moderna di inizio secolo, da Le Corbusier a Giuseppe Terragni, da Mies van der Rohe ad Adalberto Libera.

Per disegnare utilizzo Autocad12, Autodesk 3DStudio, Microstation, ma mi piace molto utilizzare anche programmi di grafica quali Corel Draw e Adobe Photoshop e gli ormai indispensabili Word, Access. Ho inserito anche alcune immagini dei miei PROGETTI

Con un mio amico, Gabriele Zanarini abbiamo sviluppato anche alcuni programmi in Basic, un remake di un vecchio videogioco ed altri utili al calcolo strutturale. Per chi ne fosse interessato può dare un'occhiata alla pagina SOFTWARE e contattarci in caso di necessità.

Sono anche un appassionato motociclista e possiedo un Ducati Scrambler 450 del 1970 che ho rimesso completamente a posto, con il quale ho attraversato l'Europa e utilizzo tutti i giorni. Quando vado al mare preferisco comunque girare con una piccola barca a vela per godermi il sole ed il silenzio e fare camping nautico (un'esperienza bellissima che consiglio a tutti).

I'm Giovanni Maini and I was born the 12th of september 1970 in Bologna, a beautiful city in northern Italy where I'm still living today. I've just been graduated at the University of Florence and now I'm an architect. The argument of my final thesys was about the GOLDEN MEAN, a very interesting subject that allows me to specify a multidisciplinary approach to the architecture; way that uses a riflections about the artistic critic, considerations about the perceiving psycology and the relations with philosophy, mathematics and art. Me and a friend of mine, Gabriele Zanarini developed some programs; a remake of an old game and a something else useful for structural calculation. If anybody is interested in, he could download the programs from the SOFTWARE page and ask me for further explanations.

One of the things I really like is my motorbike, an old Ducati Scrambler 450 made on 1970, a beautiful bike that I rided with across Europe and that I use every day. Only when I go to the seaside I leave it and I prefer sail with a small boat for appreciate the silence and the nature (To sail is a beautiful experience that I suggest to everybody!).
